PLEASE DON'T HIRE THEM! THE WORST COMPANY EVER! JUST DON'T WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE WENT THROUGH. So I let my roommate handle the movers (worst decision ever). THEY quote us for a 2 hour move (we're only moving 2 FLOORS UP)! So they show up on moving day (Friday Feb 15) and I'm rushing to work because they're gonna move everything right? NO! This business is awful!!! My mother-in-law’s RV was totaled so AMS movers came to move all of her stuff out of her old RV into a storage facility less than a mile down the road. The 2 kid movers who were sent out were like bulls in a china closet. While trying to get the refrigerator out of the RV, the cut the water line as well as the wires for the ice maker. Worst moving experience of my life. I was told they would move and place furniture, bring supplies to wrap the furniture, and extra boxes in case anything needed to be packed. They show up and won’t touch my boxes ( told only here for the furniture), didn’t wrap any of my furniture so i have minor damage to all my furniture, and places everything in the one bedroom. I was quoted $275 an hour for to move and assemble furniture. I was charged over $2,200 to move 2 storage buildings 10 miles into a 3,000 sq ft house including almost $300 for fuel. We had 2 trucks but one showed up 30 mins after the first one. The crew left 30 mins before the time was up on what they made me pay for before they started unloading. They quoted me a normal move time. 3 hours plus their travel time. I moved from a 1 bedroom and it was literally 800 square feet. They sent two guys, one was smaller than I was and I saw early in that he was extending his $14/hour as far as it would go. By the time we got to my new home I just begged them to please at least get the stuff in quickly. My move took place in December 2018. The movers packed and prepared items in a professional manner. However, several large issues were overlooked. We have an adjustable bed, and even though I made a big deal about making sure the reassembly would be correct, this was never done.
