We moved in July, and AMS quoted us $800-1200 over the phone. At that time, we discussed the size of our home (1600sf) and some of the large items we planned to move. I had a 1 bedroom apartment, 1 couch, 1 love seat, 1 recliner, king bed, & a chest of deawers. The apartment was completely packed. Storage units that was 1/4 full . They (4 grown men) started at 3:45 to stopped loading the truck at 7:45. They bumped the corners in the apt busting the spackle off the wall . Broke a glass picture. We used this company to move from our Apt in McKinney to our new home Celina. We had plenty of conversations prior to the move and asked for wardrobe boxes where we can hang our clothes from the closet into these boxes. In the morning or the move they had to make a change to the truck and send us a different truck due to a situation which was unforeseen and totally understandable. I wish I'd come to Facebook and read instead of trusting places like Angies List and The Better Business Bureau's reviews. The things other people have commented are the same things that happened to me. I used the McKinney location to move on September 7 and if I had a time machine wouldn't . Please don't make the same mistake I made and hire this joke of a company. I am sure they will respond with a "we pride ourselves on an exceptional move..." blah, blah, blah. Horrible company! They break all your stuff and hide behind loop holes. The customer service is a joke. They broke my brand new Sony TV, scratched up my stainless steel fridge and put a huge dent in it. Scratched up my dresser and broke the leg on my breakfast table. Stuffed up the front door and scratched up brand new hardwood floors. They offered me 146.00 for all the damages and 200.00 to fix the floor.
I was quoted 440 and paid 100 deposit. The guy said no problem. We will get all of your stuff wrapped nicely. What he failed to tell me is that they would charge me to do so and also the clock was still ticking while they wrapped my stuff. The customer service wheels u in. After that it is all down hill. I wish I could rate this a 0 stars. Summary if you don't want to read it all: They were hours late, they billed $300 more than they originally quoted, they damaged my dresser, and they tried to buy my silence. Booked moving for 9/1 on 7/28 - scheduled for morning move. Got call 48 hours before move stating all was set, movers should be here on date of move between 8AM and 9AM. On date of move, 9/1, after 9 AM I called to see what was going on. Was told I had been scheduled for 1PM - 4PM. Okay... that was the first problem.
