I really like that AMS responds promptly once a service request is placed. However, Their resolution process is very poor. We have the platinum plan and we put in a serice request over a year ago to repair the ice maker and water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator. In 2022 3 different repairmen and plumber were dispatched and no one could repair it. AHS has changed. You have to go through too many channels to get information on the status of your repair service.
The work gets done, but not as soon as needed.
I like having a home warranty. Both of my AC units went down. The air temps have been in the hundreds for weeks so being without AC was tough. The 1st Unit was still within it's 30 day call back to make sure everything is repaired. The 1st time the tech came our unit miraculously started working so per contract with AHS & with no proof it was not working the tech left. The unit quit working within 12 hours and I recorded via video what was happening. The 2nd time the service company came out it was a different group of guys ... read more
Easy process that led to a reasonable settlement for appliance replacement, and excellent contracting of an installer for quick resolution of the situation. I’ve had previous experience with AHS years ago when I lived I; Houston, TX. They are beyond the best!
The quick response to need repair or inspection. Someone actually answers th he for assistance. These things are outstanding.
On separate occasions both my dishwasher and ice maker went out. I paid my deductible each time and that was it! The repairs were covered completely by American Home Sheild..
