We have used Austin Vet Hospital for a few annual check-ups and small procedures on our cat. Our experience has been consistently good. The front office staff, the techs and Dr Palvino are all very efficient, friendly, and informative. Highly recommended.
The staff is friendly, the vets are professional, and everyone truly cares for your animals. After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to try go with this vet, and I'm very glad I did. I called in the morning and way able to make an appointment for the same day. Dr. Palvino was so patient with my dogs, even when they started getting snippy. He showed me step by step how to apply my dog's ear medicine for his ear infection. Near my house and really friendly staff and knowledgeable vet, what more could you want? Two free t-shirts? OK, I'll take that too. Took my new dog in to check out a few minor issues and enjoyed our visit there (as much as you can enjoy this kind of thing.). Will definitely be back.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Austin Vet Hospital. They have been our vet for over a decade and the staff always been the most caring and wonderful people you can imagine. After all these years they know us well enough to comment on the fact that our older dog is suddenly easy going about nail trims. The folks at Austin Vet Hospital already care for our adult cat. This weekend we brought in a stray kitten we were hoping to make a permanent part of our family. Unfortunately he was very ill and, after a lengthy discussion with the doctor, we made the difficult decision to put him down. While not the happiest review I've written I felt it was very imoortant to commend the men and women of this office. Just trying to clear some confusion. A couple weeks ago I wrote a horrible review on here but it was meant for Austin Vet Care. I sincerely apologize for the mistake and I am sorry if anybody got the wrong impression of Austin Vet Hospital. As a pet owner who cares about their animals and having been to almost every vet hospital in the Austin area south of 51st st, I can't say enough about Dr TJ Palvino and the staff at AVH! My wife and I find a warm reception, and excellent care at an extremely reasonable price, at least as far as pet care goes. I just needed to reiterate my 5 stars for Dr. Schaubert and the crew at AVH. When my little Woosley had tumors on his feet that needed to be removed, Dr. Schaubert warned us that surgery on a dog's foot is very difficult. But she did a spectacular job. Woosley didn't even seem to notice that his foot has just been worked on. When we look at his feet (just 2 months after surgery), we can't even tell where he had the surgery - it's healed that well. My dog and I both love our vet, Dr. Palvino. He's great with my dog, he's easy to talk to, he makes sure I have all the information I need. The same goes for all the staff, they are very caring and professional. I brought my dog here because of all the yelp love they get, and on recommendation of a friend. I trust them explicitly with my dog, and I would recommend them to anyone
