I needed to find a vet in Austin closer to home. From the get go everyone was super nice! They were great about following up with how Elphie was doing the next day after her shots and exam. I am very happy to have found them. I am looking forward to taking Elphie back for future appointments for her health!

SO glad that I went in to Austin Vet Hospital! I rescued a feral kitten over the weekend, and wasn't quite sure what best steps I should take to get her healthy, flea-free, and make sure she was on the right track so I took her in to AVH and they got me in that day, were extra friendly over the phone- and when I arrived were overwhelmingly sweet. I love AVH! I started bringing my dog Orly here about a year ago I guess when I moved to the north campus area and I have been so impressed the 2 times I've had to take her in to be seen. The staff is friendly and welcoming, gentle with my sweet girl, and knowledgeable about their operations. I've taken our dogs and one cat to this clinic. Staff is very welcoming. Clinic is bright and clean. We've seen three of the vets so far and they've taken more time with my pets than doctors do with my family. I appreciate their frank discussions on what might be ailing our babies and best course of treatment. And if I have some thoughts on what might be going on, they listen and give an opinion about next steps. I like that they aren't dismissive. Dr Cao at AVH has always been wonderful with my pets. I have a very old cat who is experiencing numerous age related illnesses, and Dr. Cao couldn't be more sympathetic and informative in helping me make decisions about my sweet kitty's healthcare.

So it has been years since I've needed a vet, plus I was a child living with my parents in a state 1500 miles away. I've only had my cat, Scooter, for 9 months (from a friend of a friend) and he's been pretty chill. But when he was acting funny this morning, I immediately started looking for a vet. AVH was super nice on the phone and got me a same-day appointment with Dr. Horsley. She is awesome. When our cat Barstow was attacked by a neighbor's dog last year in our back yard, we rushed him to Austin Vet Hospital, which is just a few minutes away. Sadly by the time we had arrived Barstow had already passed away. The staff at Austin Vet Hospital couldn't have been nicer to us under these awful circumstances. They took care of Barstow's remains, and a few weeks later sent a lovely sympathy card signed by the entire staff. You can tell that they care deeply about the pets they help, and their owners.
