Beware I worked with a representative to refinance my car. I submitted everything requested only for the rep to allow my application to expire. No communicating via phone, text, or email. Just a complete waste of time. Nobody ever called me to resolve this or give me answers. Very unprofessional

Rude Applied on recommendation from Credit Karma that I refinance my auto loan for a better interest rate (supposedly less than 1/2 my current interest rate). Missed the phone call from Rep #1, called back immediately and left a voicemail. Rep #1 never called back but responded with a text days later saying “I don’t know what you hope to accomplish with this…” Meanwhile Rep #2 calls and leaves me a voicemail asking me to reply to the text he just sent me (at the same number)…only I never received a text from him. Poor custom... read more

Do yourself a favor and AVOID! AVOID! We were shopping for rates before purchasing our new vehicle and saw an article on Bankrate about Autopay offering super low rates to people with high credit scores (which we have) so we went to their website and filled out the pre-paperwork. The questions were all very simple and it said repeatedly on the site that it would not hard check your credit, but give you some sort of pre-qual with a soft check. Submitting the form, we got a message that they couldn't give us an answer and we'd... read more

Don't fall for it like I did! The hard ran my credit for a loan with higher payments. I have very good credit. Don't believe the mailers that promise lower payments. I have never been able to contact the loan specialist. I got a few automated texts, that was it. I don't even know how they were able to hard run my credit without my SS#.

I should have listened to the negative reviews I usually throw out any mail that I don't recognize, and should have with this Autopay offer I received. It said I was approved for an APR below my current loan so I inquired. After the HARD Credit Check I was approved for an APR 1% ABOV E my current loan! Bait and switch!

Mistakes at YOUR expense The initial process went smoothly enough to get me interested in refinancing my auto loan. The salesperson seemed to arrange most details. I had paid $20 to have the DMV Power of Attorney notarized. I called the sales rep to inquire about the witnesses since they were not high-lighted in the documents that I received. I sent in the forms and they approved the loan. The issues came afterwards. PenFed was requesting documents that I had already submitted, so they never received some things. Also then I... read more

Confusing - numbers game Agent was degrading and insulting. Rate was not as good at estimate - hidden fees and charges - numbers didn't add up - monthly payment would have been more than current monthly payment even with a little lower interest rate and the loan would have been extended to 60 months rather than the current 56 remaining months on current load.

AutoPay NOT RECOMMEND The interest rate I got was good. I can't complain cause it got cut in half. BUT! The process from beginning to end took 1 1/2 months from April 1st - May 16th very close to my car payment due on 18th. I was informed that I would not make 2 months of pymts(April & May)that's where the madness began...I did have to make April's pymnt. The Auto Pay rep didn't give me a full listing of paperwork required at the beginning which would have been so helpful & faster. I would have to call him for updates cause ... read more
