Bait and switch advertising. Showed refinance options on Bankrate at 0 points, no out of pocket fees at 2.125%, 15 year fixed refinance. Go to their site and fill out their info (excellent credit 775, income, assets and low loan to value) and they come back with 3+ % loan with points and origination fees. I wouldn't have wasted time filling out the pre-approval and provided them with my personal information if they hadn't been so dishonest with their advertised rates. Avoid.

All of the specialists at Better.com stayed in constant contact with us. Upcoming tasks were clearly explained and if I had any questions, they were answered quickly. The loan approval process went very smoothly and much faster than other loan providers had estimated. The rates were among the lowest available online.

Did refinancing with them. The most seamless process ever. Closed in 18 days (despite Thanksgiving holidays) from the moment I submitted an initial loan application. Efficient and expedient. I never had to bug them about anything. Progress/status reports and next tasks came in via email and were always accessible via the online portal which is a great tool especially for those who love to do everything online. Refinanced my mortgage in 2020Q4 and it was genuinely as painless a process as ever I’ve experienced. The streamlined, online-first model and the ease of contacting the humans involved with my refinance were the ideal combination of features for this millennial technologist. Their rates were also competitive and their transparency regarding estimates and disclosures was good - but that is a given for anyone I choose to do mortgage business with!

Overall pleased with the refinancing process. Their rate was very competitive. However, I think the underwriting department made things more difficult than it needed to be. They asked us about property that we did not own and could have been resolved on their end if they did their due diligence. The closing portion was a bit rushed and they were not as responsive as Kristina, who was wonderful and patient and listened when I vented about the underwriting team.

Better.com and its employees made the refinancing process simple and seamless. Closing costs were very reasonable. The application for document control and execution is secure and easy to use and staff members were always available to respond to questions. I would absolutely recommend using better.com.

I selected Better.com for a mortgage refi. It was an excellent experience all the way through. The web-based user interface is the best I have ever used - I have done multiple refinances and mortgages with different homes using different online lenders. We switched from ********* to Better for a ... "better" experience. And it was! They were able to push our loan through quickly and at the rate we wanted. I was a bit concerned about the legality of the loan, as they were not as thorough as ********* and had us check a box that wasn't totally accurate even after bringing it to their attention multiple times from the start... but that's their problem I guess. *shrug*
