Overall process was great. It took longer than expected with the pandemic going on. Still the team from start to finish was able to lock the rate, validate all document and close the loan with a mobile notary in our area (which took less than 48 hours to secure and sign docs)! We're in the middle of a health crisis, people are having to work from home making it difficult to work on the completion of a home purchase however, better.com has been able to do their part in the closing of my family's first home in less than a month from offer to closing. What more could you ask of a lender... oh, good rates! They have those too! Very quick and efficient from start to finish. Just a few minor glitches along the way with communication around 2 items. Considering the overall number of steps in the process, this was trivial. Very pleased overall and would happily use Better.com again. If I could select 4.5 stars, I would. Deducting 1 start just for the minor glitches in an almost flawless process.

Better did a fantastic job with my recent refinancing. Great initial website interface and easy-to-access information on current rates and loan options. Very competitive rates. Excellent knowledge management process to track tasks and store/access reference documents. Highly responsive loan/process managers. Of note, Better Mortgage does not hold your loan after closing - they will transfer it to a different provider. If you do not want to accept that "risk" you should look elsewhere for your loan. GREAT experience with Better! I chose Better due to the lowest rates. I personally have never heard of Better so I did some quick research and saw they had overall good reviews. I have purchased 3 homes and this was my first refinance. Better was by far the easiest process and had the best customer service. I was a bit leary as I have always used local banks and wasn't sure how the online process would go. Better's customer service beat out the local banks. This mortgage company itself seem to be good with lower interest rates. The service you receive depends on who they assign you to. I had a bad experience with Better Mortgage Corporation as those I was dealing with were incompetent and not client oriented at all. They will never reach back to you when you contact them. Any time I scheduled a call with them they will only email or text me that they still don't have answers for me. I ended up withdrawing my application.
