Make sure you get competitive rates from another lenders and have better.com match it. This includes the services that you can shop around (title). Otherwise their initial quotes are much higher than rates prevailing outside

I used Better Mortgage because ********** and ****** ****a recommended them. Uncertain how the process would play out with applying for a new home loan online, I was a bit uneasy. Now that my loan has been approved and funded, I can say that I will definitely use them again. The process was done through their portal which is simple to use and the experts were great and always available to answer any questions.

Better Mortgage is anything but Better. They lied to me multiple times, generated task after task, ask for information 2 and three times. Questioned everything I sent them. Each department that reviewed the file ask for the same info I had already sent. Finally after 6 weeks of getting them information the day they ask for it a day after I was supposed to close they said I had to wait another 2-3 week for a subordination letter on a 10 year old HELOC that I had to access because they didn't close in time.
