Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will assist head of procurement and optimize the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for a global SaaS organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships across software, IT, infrastructure, and professional services categories. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of SaaS and cloud- based procurement, strong negotiation and contract management skills, and experience supporting multiple geographic regions with differing regulatory and compliance requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global procurement strategies aligned with business and financial o0bjectives.
  • Manage sourcing, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation for SaaS, IT, and operational service providers.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure contract adherence and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain vendor performance scorecards and help head of procurement for leading quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Implement procurement best practices and cost optimization strategies across regions.
  • Oversee the procurement of software licenses, renewals, and enterprise subscription management.
  • Support global teams in identifying approved vendors, negotiating pricing, and ensuring policy compliance.
  • Assist head of procurement to drive procurement automation and implement scalable tools.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with data privacy, export control, and regional procurement regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to forecast procurement needs and budget impacts.
  • Maintain list of vendors with renewal timelines along with adoption related details.

requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Certifications (preferred but not required)

  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) – Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification
  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) – APICS
  • IT Procurement or Contract Management certification a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
  • At least 3 years in a SaaS, cloud, or technology-based environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing procurement activities across multiple global regions.
  • Proven track record in software and IT contract negotiation, including enterprise agreements and SaaS renewals.
  • Experience with procurement automation tools.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of SaaS licensing models, pricing structures, and vendor landscapes.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
  • Proficient in contract drafting, review, and compliance management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and remote environment.
  • Familiarity with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and global procurement compliance standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization and analytics tools preferred.
