First time at Cavender's and I was looking for a cowboy hat. I was impressed with the selection at first until I realized that they did not have many sizes above a 7. I was looking for a 7 3/8 or 7 1/2 but there were only a handful of options available in either straw or felt style hats. The staff was very nice and referred me to other Cavender's that have a bigger selection of the hats I was looking for, and I would certainly be back if I was looking for boots or other Western-wear. I bought a pair of $1,200 alligator tail boots and decided to exchange them because I preferred a brown instead of black boot. When I came back I thought they would give me a hard time but the manager working was EXCELLENT. Not only did he gladly take the boots back but personally went and helped me pick out different options and suggested some really cool ones I ended up getting (almost 1,000 less than the black ones I got). I'd like to commend the staff at both the Conroe and College Station Cavender locations for their exemplary customer service in helping me find just the exact items I needed - tops, a dress and my hard-to-find boots! Even though I had to go to both locations more than once, the customer service received made both drives worth it. Thanks to all!

Just went to the Cavender's on the South Loop near NRG for the first time. Wonderful customer service! Friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend them.

In the evening of Saturday, November 9th I visited this location in search of a pair of boots for a birthday present. I was in town visiting Austin for the weekend (I previously lived here for almost 6 years) and was leaving Monday morning. This was probably my 5th or 6th time visiting this location, it's super laid back, the staff is involved and hilarious. The trick to Cavender's is walking in with a plan. You want cowboy boots that are comfy but good-looking enough to go dancing in? Or how about some boots for some serious horseback riding? Or maybe you want some durable denim jeans for some work in the garden. Btw, please tell me you're not going to tuck those jeans in your boots, y'all, cause that's just not done in Texas. Went here today after being very disappointed with Allen's off South Congress due to their lack of customer service. Very impressed by the guy who helped us today, his name was Hunter and he came up to us almost immediately and asked if he needed help. He went back and forth through the store to help my fiancé with his decision on wedding boots, even mentioned deals he could get on them with an online survey, he even got a belt to match and got a discount on that too!
