Excellent experience. Dillon was a fabulous help. I have a lot of trouble finding boots. I look for them all the time in stores, online and have trouble finding ones that fit because I have a wide foot and big calves. I have never had anyone tell me that they could stretch the boots to help make the fit. Years of shopping and no one ever mentioned this?!!!!! except for Dillon. I searched high and low throughout the city of Austin for some good quality western snap shirts when it finally dawned on me to check out an actual western store. I'm no cowboy, but I like their style. I stuck out pretty bad in the store wearing flip-flops, a golf cap and a Color Me Rad 5K t-shirt. I am very impressed with the service & selection @ Cavender's. I was prepared to walk out empty handed since I had never even tried on a pair of cowgirl boots before and had no idea what I was looking for. Luckily Chris was there & offered me some help. I love the quality, designs and variety that you find at cavender but they are a little overpriced. I bought a few pairs for my friends who are in northeast as a chrismass present. One of the pair didnt fit so had to return them. I was amazed that they exchanged them even after 3 months. Its also a great place to find cowboy hats, clothes and accessories...

Great place - Excellent customer service! If you're looking for boots this is a MUST FIRST STOP! Also, be sure to ask for Chris, he'll make sure you buy the right pair. This was my first adventure in buying boots and Cavenders took care of me. Chris was very helpful in making sure I didn't buy crap boots and helped me stay within my budget. He actually spent the whole 1.5 hours with me while I tried on every pair of boot they had. Will definitely go there for my second pair!

Seriously, if you're looking for boots, this is without a doubt, the place to go. I must have tried on 25 pair before coming to the painful conclusion that try as I might, I will never be that girl. The super cute young man who works there, Eric, I think, was very helpful. He was almost cute enough to make me leave with $300 worth of boots I'll never wear. I we t in there to help my teenage daughter by her first pair of boots and get my husband a new pair . The staff was incredible. Larry I can't say enough how awesome and patient he was with her . He spent time putting an outfit together and finding boots cool enough for her. I couldn't believe how awesome he was. I ordered a pair of custom ordered Lucchese boots out of the catalog they have in the store. I wanted them for Rodeo and they were able to get them in two weeks prior. For slim men with a taste for ecclectic clothing, Cavender's is worth consideration. Many shirts (particularly Wrangler but others also) are cut with a slim fit and have fantastic details like diamond shaped buttons, "changent" (color-changing) material, embroidery, etc. Helpful service, and not a bad place to buy boots, either.

After two different trips to the competitor (Sheplers), I have found this store as my go to place. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I was looking for a new hat and the young man was helpful and accomodating. The only con, it seemed that the female staff was unfriendly or bothered when asked to work the register by the manager. But a big shout out to the manager who honored a mislabeled discount sign for my hat even though I didn't ask.
