I'm a boot newbie and the associate (hate that I can't remember his name) *tall, beard.. If that's helpful) was great! So knowledgable and helpful in finding me a bajillion boots to try on in multiple sizes. Loved my experience at Cavenders, and I'll be back to get my boot collection really going :)

This would have been a five star if I had started out with someone like Shelby in the first place. I took my son in for his first pair of boots, he is doing ranch work for the first time this summer. When asked if we needed help that is what we stated. The first person to wait on us basically helped to find the size and then said, now that you know the size just start looking. Yay! I traded in my boots here after buying them online. Let me first start off by saying the girl who works the register wasn't exactly good at customer service. I think her name was Megan. She was just rude and rushed me the whole time. I didn't appreciate that. The guys on the floor were extremely helpful and made sure I was well taken care of which I did appreciate. Best boot place in Austin, I love this location it is easy to get to and there is great parking. They have a great selection of women's and men boots. There is a good variety and styles. There is also a kid section with boots and clothes. There are clothes for both women and men as well. I can't really say on those items because I haven't shopped in there. Nice selection of boots, hats (inc. small), and western/Texan accessories. Three staff were friendly and knowledgeable about boot fitting. They will stretch them for you for free (e.g. the boot fits right in the food but is too tight in the calf). I actually think they will stretch boots not bought there too, for free! In the end the didn't have the boot I wanted in the right size. I felt so bad because I was really working the sales assistant. I think I tried on 10-15 pairs I in multiple sizes. Nice boots at good prices compared to allens. Cavendars has a larger selection and again GOOD PRICES!! Also if you go in ask for a gentleman named Mario if you need help! He is VERY helpful and has extensive knowledge about boots! We all left with a pair of boots yesterday.

I stopped in here randomly one afternoon with my family, mostly because we had a 3 year old with us that needed to use the restroom pronto! Anyway - good news is that they have nice clean restrooms here. Now I have never been to a Cavender's Boot City before. I was actually surprised at how cool this store was. I was out in the field on the weekend when I noticed a rip along the seam in a 2 month old pair of Chippewa snake boots. Given that I'd only worn them a few times, I was pretty disappointed. I called Chippewa customer service, and they suggested bringing them to the store to see if they would do an exchange. When I walked in the door, I was immediately helped by Mike, who saw the rip and walked me back to grab another pair. Went here for boots and had no idea what to look for. Mike walked up and helped me out. He went out of his way to spend 30 minutes helping me find the perfect boots. If you need a good place to get boots come here and ask for Mike.
