I got a reply to my review below and in true fashion no one ever called me. I did call the number given and left a message and have not heard back. This is the kind of service you can expect. I'm glad to say I have changed insurance and will no longer be going here. From what I know the office was sold a year ago and has gone downhill. When it comes to my children all I want is the best care and that is not what I got here. Today at my daughter's 2 year wellness appointment I was asked to put on a mask which I was totally fine with, but my daughter kept pulling it off my face because she was scared of it. Having never seen me wearing one before, it was very frightening to her, which added to her anxiety to being at the doctor's office on the first place. We were refused her wellness appointment and asked to leave because I can not explain to my 2 year old what a mask policy is. Genuinely shocked by how quickly coastal kids has gone downhill since being sold and becoming a money making machine. Just be warned if your child gets sick you will not get a same day appointment, but be told the next appt is in 2-3 days. I've been going to an urgent care as a result. I will be switching practices immediately.

Do Not take your child here! The P.A that saw my child didn't diagnose her correctly. My daughter actually had an bacteria infection which the PA misdiagnosed. My daughter was so sick we went to the Ladera Ranch location and they confirmed it need to be handled with medication no sleep. Shame on Newport Beach for hiring incompetent P.A's instead of real Doctors to see our sick children. I will be filling a complaint with the CA Medical Board!!

What a disappointment this office has been. It takes forever to make an appointment for a well visit with an actual doctor, and now they have cancelled on me twice in a row. I had to wait for a month for a new appt and they cancelled on me. They offered that I could see a nurse practitioner, but what I'm looking for is what I had back in LA with our amazing doctor, to have a relationship with someone who knows my kids. This is definitely not the place.

The customer service is horrible! You wait on hold just to make an appointment. One day I called them to verify my appointment and ended up getting to the office before anyone picked up the phone.

Coastal Kids is a nicely marketed pretty storefront for condescending providers whose #1 priority is to jab your kids. I went here when my son was a newborn and the pressure quickly shifted from his overall health at 8 weeks to pushing vaccinations so early when we had no plan for daycare and I would be staying home + we were still in moderate levels of covid lockdowns where most places weren't even open. We have taken our son to Coastal Kids Newport since he was born. Every time we go we have to wait. I called today because he is sick for the first time with a rash all over his body asking to be seen. Their response was that they are all booked for today, call back tomorrow. I asked if I could speak to our doctor who they said was not in, I asked to speak to another doctor they said that was not possible and that there is a nurse practitioner that can call me 'at her convenience', still no call.
