Phil came to our house on January 13 and gave us an estimate to clean our carpet. The price seemed a bit high but went ahead and confirmed an appointment to have Phil come on January 16 in the AM. Nobody showed up on the 16th so we called and found out from customer service that no appointment was made. We said that we did, that everything had been set up. I will never, ever, use those black trucks again. Needing to get my carpets clean , once purchased from S & G Carpets, you have to have them cleaned whether dirty or not to keep your lifetime warranty. Last year, Stanley Steamer....never had a problem. Coit, 40% off for the holidays, over 60yrs in service, of course I'll use them. Big mistake!! My house smells like wet gym socks. I am fully aware of the challenge when attempting to remove coffee stains from carpeting and perhaps Coit's policy does not allow for guarantees. The stains were new, we had done immediate pre treatment. When that failed, we called Coit. The first tech had me sign, releasing Coit from any responsibility for stains that do not come out. Unbelievably bad customer service support on the telephone. I scheduled an appointment last week to have my carpets cleaned was given a window of 12-2pm for today. By 2pm today that window had passed, so I called Coit to find out what was going on. I was amazed by how UNCONCERNED, UNAPOLOGETIC, and just plain RUDE the rep on the phone was. Terrible, dishonest company. We called to have the carpets in my 85 year old mother's new house cleaned prior to moving in. We went to check it out after they were finished, and it didn't look like anything had been done. There was even still a light layer of gray dust around the carpet edges of every room, showing that they never bothered to clean the whole carpeting - just ran the machine around the middle of the rooms a bit. Coit's your fired!!! We live in the Sacramento and have used Coit's for years. Problems began last year when they had to cancel our appointment which meant we had to move the furniture more than once. We were not happy but oh well things happen. This week we set them up for a carpet cleaning. At the last minute we got a call from the tech advising us that his equipment was not operating properly. I should have denied service. They came out and did nothing for my furniture but charge me. Won't be using Coit again ever. Upholstery job was the worse...didn't even clean it...

UNRELIABLE! We set up an appointment two weeks in advance to have our carpets cleaned following the sale of our house prior to the new owners taking possession, and these knuckleheads call five minutes after the agreed upon time to inform us they won't be able to do the job because they accepted an on the spot assignment over the prior commitment.
