Its a freakin scam DONT DO IT! They absolutely decimated my credit for over 2 years now. All they do is tell you to stop paying, wait for it to go to collections and then settle with the debt collector. Literally anybody can do that themselves. And in that time, the debt goes up by roughly 50% because of all that interest, so it seems like theyre saving you more money then they are. I SHOULD LISTENED TO MY FRIEND BEFORE WHEN SHE SAID DO NOT DO THIS. LIST; FISRT IT WAS A SETTLED AMOUNT.THEY TOOK THEY FEE FIRST, THEN I AM IN A ECONOMY CRISIS THEN I HAD TO LOW MY AMOUNT AND THEY SAID THEY LOST THE SETTLEMNET WHEN I WAS TOLD IT WAS SET UP ALREADY. NOW THEY HAVE TO DO ANOTHER SETTLEMENT BASE ON MY OLD AMOUNT BECUSE THEY TOOK FIRST THEY FEE AND LET THE CUSTOMER ON THE LAST. Do not use this program. They will steal your money and always tell you some kind of different fee. I worked with them for a year, paid over $4000 and only got 2 accounts done bother railing under$1000, put together. Where is my other $3000? Can never get a hold of them via phone for customer service. Horrible service! Do not use!

Expected lump sum payments and certainly did not expect over $1000 in a fee on one account that you charged on top of the debt settlement

Called Credit Associates in March 2024 and was told they will work with my debtors and settle my accounts for much less than I owe. They claimed the process would take three months, my credit history would take a dip, but then the numbers would rise when the accounts get changed to settled. Well, nine months later and only two accounts have settled and my credit score is totally destroyed. Terrible company. Says I dont have to talk to any creditors but then take so much longer to close accounts than they said resulting in way more interest further resulting in them taking more money out every month than originally stated. Also giving false pre approvals of loans, I sign up and get denied after getting pre approval emails. They DO NOT send emails or anything letting you know when money is coming out every month, they just do it. Not a very good experience for me, I do not recommended this company at all.

This company started out working great for us. Everything was going as planned until they settled on a larger debt thus taking their 25% fee all at once leaving nothing left in our account to negotiate a new debt unless we add to our account. We worked with them for over a year then they said I would need another 15 months added to the program in order to pay my debts off. Now if their fees were paid out over the term as the settled debts, that would be great and stayed with them. Maybe someone else will have better luck wit... read more

Have only settled 2 accounts. Have been very ill and can no longer make these payments. I've called and emailed asking to cancel.
