Was helped by Tahlia. She was nice and responsive to my phone calls and emails. Super helpful and knowledgeable with questions. I ask alot of questions and not once did I get the feeling that I was rushed.
Great spot to be in downtown and close to everything. It is a quick walk to BART and not too far from San Francisco so it is a good central hub. I like SF a lot but the city can be too much. I haven't had any issues with management or neighbors but I do have some problems with noise on the street but its usually on weekends. Most of the time I can ignore it. I don't like that they charge for parking but I guess apartments can charge you for it since there isn't much street parking around.
Although I really love the location but I live in one bedroom and I want to get a two bedroom but the rent is too high for my boyfriend and I. Perks: location, large windows lots of light, pet friendly, nice gym. Negative: no balcony on my apartment, some have it, have to pay for parking, no street parking for guests.
I have lived here for about a year. It is in a really great location and I can walk to work. The best thing in the community is the sky deck on the top floor. It has a full grill and fridge too. It can be hard to get the space because it is popular on weekends but its nice chill spot. My girlfriend goes to Yoga once a week but I think they offer a few classes. My neighbors are pretty chill so that makes it even better.
I've been living at domain for a few years now. Mgmt has done an excellent job at staying competitive and doing all they can for the residents. The parking, luxer package system, gym upgrades and security are all top notch, and the convenience to 12st BART can't be beat. Unfortunately, there have been some developer types visiting the building and going through apartments. It sounds like the apartments, once built to be condos, are going to be sold off as condos. It was great while it lasted.

Lives here for 2 years. Have very good experiences. Very safe area in Oakland. next to the government building. Just only 5-minutes walk to 12 street Bart station. The cafe room always kept it clean and new. The place very nice and clean. Indoor parking. Friendly staff. They have a free yoga and my favorite activity here is FREE MONTHLY MEDITATION. 5 stars for amenities.

This place is downtown urban chic. Contemporary architecture, spacious apartments and lots of amenities such as fitness center, business center, sky-deck BBQ grill, outdoor fireplaces. Domain is my first apartment in Oakland. It is a very modern and luxury complex in downtown Oakland. I moved in since July 2013 and felt comfortable right away. I am very impressed with the art gallery at the entrance. Free espresso and free wifi for the residents at the Connect Café are great amenities. I have lived in Domain by Alta for about 3 months now. Even though there have been some things that have occurred i would have to say overall that i am very happy with Domain by Alta. I feel that they provide everything you could ask for from a coffee lounge with free WiFi and coffee to a 24 hour gym. If your downsizing from a home to an apartment and need to store items that may not feel feel no need to worry for they do have storage space you can rent out for a low price a month.
