I really want to love my apartment. But the fire alarms make it impossible. They are the loudest i have ever heard, which is a good thing for a fire alarm unless it is constantly broken. It goes off during the workday, and lately it goes off repeatedly through the night. I've lived here for several years and it's been a recurring problem but now it is seriously out of control. 1 AM, 4AM, 4PM, etc., it just does not stop. The management, Greystar, emails after the fact with stories about how it's getting fixed, then the probl... read more
Please take other reviews seriously and do not move here. The false fire alarms are bloodcurdling and real. We didn't believe the issue could be as bad as past reviews said, and now we seriously regret moving here last year. The alarms go off on average 3x per month. Sometimes, they're blasting for the whole day every hour. Last night, they were howling at 1am , every two hours. Over and over, mind-piercing, insane alarms at 100 decibels that go on for 5-10 minutes until the fire department arrives. It's damaging our hearing... read more
The fire alarm went off multiple times again last night, so that testy response they left me about how things are better now aged horribly. The firemen were definitely pissed as well. Thankfully I don't live there anymore, but a friend who does had to cancel plans with me because they're so exhausted from the alarms keeping them up all night. Please note that many of the positive reviews are from people talking about the *sales* process. Living here is a nightmare. Save yourself the indignity of living in this hellhole simpl... read more
Really bad experience living in this building for the past year. Fire alarm system is terrible and incredibly disruptive and would go off intermittently during the day, impacting our WFH schedule. More recently (ie last night), it went off 5x from 2am-9am!! This is not a new issue with the building, but it seems like the efforts taken by management are not going anywhere. No concessions made to ease residents who are overpaying for a very uncomfortable living experience wrought with anxiety. There's always an excuse and a ha... read more
It's 5:30am and the fire alarm has just gone off for the 3rd time in 5 hours (12:45am, 2:45am, 5:15am). Last week it went off 3 times. And it lasts for 5-10 minutes until the fire department comes and shuts it off. It's not the typical beeping alarm. It's a shrill, ear piercing alarm that you can hear from 3 blocks away. My family has lived here for 6 years and it's been an issue the whole time. They've always been "working on it". We even got an email yesterday detailing the work that they're doing to remedy it. But my ques... read more
Sadly, I have reached a tipping point on this longstanding fire alarm issue. I have been at Domain for 2+ years now and experienced a period of relatively frequent fire alarms followed by (from my perspective) relatively none. In the past few months however, the frequency of the alarms going off (and for seemingly no reason) has gone WAY up and it's no longer something I can pass off as an infrequent irritation and concern. I am writing this at 5 in the morning after being woken up for the THIRD time by an alarm that has gon... read more
Just don't bother. The leasing team will make it seem like you'll be accepted right away and will try to make the process easy for you but honestly they will just take your money and won't be willing to help you with anything.
I normally do not feel compelled to write bad reviews, but I feel that for future residents, it is important that you take note of the reviews of this place before you consider moving here. 1. The complex is absolutely filthy because residents let their dogs use the bathroom all over the place, and there has been issues with them not even cleaning up after their pets. Some residents also leave trash all over the place. 2. There are 4 elevators in the building, but in the time I've lived here they've never all been working at... read more
I am a resident here and a fairly new resident at that.. the service here is excellent it is a quiet environment and management are friendly and easy going. Thalia provided me a tour of the apartments and I was immediately sold due to their impress deals during these unprecedented times. Aaron called just to ask how they could improve services provided if at all and that truly made me feel at home because they are constantly looking to better the already great environment
