Of all my experiences around the country in 20 years, this has been the worst. After living there for 2.5 years, I have enough credible data to safely say that this should never be in anyone's consideration. False alarms on a weekly basis, trash not removed for days, consistently broken elevators, rude staff. A resident nightmare.

I recently moved into this building and because it has been such a great experience I wanted to make sure to share here. One thing I loved about moving in was all the different choices of thoughtfully designed units. Whether you're moving in alone or with friends/family there is a space for you here. The amenities are fabulous. There's a top of the line gym, a bike center to fix your bike and access to Ford bikes (located across the street). I just moved in 2 weeks ago and the move-in process has been great. Hanaya, Justin, Julia, and the entire management team have been extremely helpful. We've had a couple small issues (as anyone does when moving) and they've been extremely responsive. Domain just brought in a brand new management staff and it seems like they all care about the community's residents. There's also a security guard every night that makes you feel pretty safe. Domain Oakland used my name to set up an AT&T cable service even though I'm not a resident. I moved out 2015 and now I'm getting emailed and harassed by AT&T to pay a bill Domain set up for the entire community of Domain. Dear Domain, Please handle your bill and get my name off your account.

We have tried to get in contact with management regarding our move out charges and they are not responding back to emails and phone calls. If you can respond to our Yelp reviews, respond to our emails and phone calls We tried (510) 788-4614, (510) 788-4604, (510) 444-6000, (510) 747-8973 and all of them go straight to voicemail. We left voicemails. No calls back.

TLDR - DO NOT LIVE HERE! SCAMMY PARENT COMPANY + POLICIES. INCOMPETENT & RUDE MANAGEMENT. NOT WORTH THE SHORT DISTANCE TO BART. Management is either sadly incompetent or gives zero shits. For the most part its both. Here's a laundry list of the bullshit you get to deal with at Domain followed with a profile of the shitty team thats there. 1. Have been a resident for the last 3 years and since the new owners have taken over, things are on a downward spiral. The elevators are not working AGAIN and the leasing office did not inform anyone. There are not any convenient stairs to get to your unit and end up having to walk all around the property in these instances. The new ownership canceled the free wireless and all of the other "nice things" the former company would do for the residents. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Horribly run building in an ideal location. I moved in, in March 2017 and the only reason I've continued to live here is because of the proximity to BART on 12th Street. The reality is that one shouldn't run the risk. There have been multiple burglaries, all of which appear to be inside jobs (building employees have master keys) and despite all evidence pointing to this, the building won't release hallway camera footage. Don't be fooled. What you see online is NOT what you get. Appliances are shiny but they don't work. And don't expect a response to a service request for months. When we moved in our apt, every light in our apartment except one was dead and one of the light fixture was hanging two feet out of the ceiling. 6 service requests sent before a response.
