"Avoid" Pros: As a retailer there is not a lot to like about this software. Cons: Clumsy, does not integrate with apps, especially shopify. Features are aimed at the hospitality industry, not suitable for retail. The database is clumsy, you can only search for products on the till if they are listed as for sale on the till. With over 2000 products in my inventory that makes the till slow. Integration with card payments is awful. "Watch out for EPOS" Pros: I was promised the moon during negotiations . Was suppose to build menu and design at no cost to me. Cons: As soon as agreed to get the system and sent the menu over they attempted to bill me for what was negotiated for free. As a result of the bait and switch I told them I was no feeling uneasy and would find another company and was terminating service. "Customer service" Pros: Nothing, there was nothing to like about it, if you don’t know how to use or change this was the worst customer service I had ever experienced Cons: Made things more difficult, and if you want help be ready to wait 1 to 2 hours for customer service Overall: Poor customer service,
" Epos Now" Pros: Easy to learn Easy checkout Easy to add product Cons: Cannot run ind sales by customer without paying more for the app We had a disastrous experience trying to use one of your recommended pinpad suppliers (EVO). Horrible experience. They have absolutely no customer service for Canada. QUIT using them immediately. Overall: It’s good - but our volunteer bartenders say it takes too long to learn it (they are not using it every week)!so they will not open or close - just use it to sell drinks.
"Beware of what your told and what you get" Pros: Not hard to setup not hard to use The till is OK Cons: this a United Kingdom based software. The reporting when exporting to excel use VAT taxes and you have to change headings because a lot of them don't make any sense when using an outside loyalty program platform the system is incredibly slow The system uses nearly all the storage available and I find myself constantly having to try to delete windows update failures, downloads, and other items . "Unhappy retailer" Pros: The back office is fairly easy to navigate for basic needs Cons: The help/tutorial aspect of this software is greatly lacking. There are a lot of features to utilize but it's near impossible to get proper training on using them. Which leads me to my next con - The support team is incredibly unreliable. IF you are lucky and get a good support rep, your issues may be resolved quickly. However that is a rare occurrence.
