I've been with this storage place for over 10 years. Had a couple problems through the years but nothing too bad until.... 2 of my storage units got broken into and Extra Space Storage did nothing about it. The staff said they would turn over the video files of the people that stole my belongings. After I filed the police report, the detective went to the storage unit asking for the video evidence and the Extra Space storage said, tough luck, go get a warrant. Although I remain a loyal customer at Kalakaua location, the homeless problem is completely out of control there. You must do something to add security. Yesterday I had a run-in and felt extremely threatened. I may just pack it up and cancel soon. Management knows there's a problem and appears to do nothing but raise my rent.

My son's best friend had her unit broken into and her stuff stolen. no security cameras on the hallways to prevent this crime from happening. The girl said the suspects looked homeless and broke in through the siding. Why didn't the people running this place see it hear anything and why are the walls so easy to bend. Are they using cardboard as walls. If I rented a unit here I would check my items and pack up and move to a different company.
