I recently rented space at this location for my business. Milton was the storage representative that helped me and he was fantastic! He was very courteous and helpful. The day we moved in, we discovered that the space we had rented was not large enough for all of the items we needed to store. Milton quickly found an additional space for us to rent. The doubled prices within a few months of signing up . I started at 120 and left at 330 within a few moths. Service is rude - if you arrive within a few routes of closing time they will not let you in .

I'm extremely disappointed by a sudden 65% increase in my rental rate. When I reached out, I was told my initial rate was 'promotional'--a fact that was never clearly disclosed when I signed up. Despite being a company that prides itself on digital convenience, they claimed to have sent notice via a physical letter rather than an email or app notification. On Friday, Feb 6 at approximately 3:30 PM I visited Extra Space Storage at 581 Austin Pl, Bronx, NY to rent a unit after seeing a lower price online. When I asked the on-site manager for clarification about the online price, she responded by shouting, insulting me, and refusing to rent to me at the online rate. She also threatened to call the police and ordered me to leave. I was calm and only asking questions; the beha left me in tears . I never experienced this in my life

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. They are a predatory vendor. I had a storage locker for three months and then my fourth month bill arrived which was DOUBLE what I was paying. They lie and say my original rate was a promo-rate and it is month to month. I would expect a 10%, 20% increase, but double?? Run from this company!!!

The space and service are fine (LIC). But they are a predatory business. In one year my monthly fee has gone up by almost 70% from $185 to $315. When I started in this space it was not owned by ESS, but once they acquired it, the price increases kept coming. I am really aggravated by the price gouging. I would advise anyone looking for storage for more than a few months to go elsewhere.

I made a reservation and they cancelled it without talking to me. THen I talked to 6 people, my unit was NOT available. I missed my flight to Los Angeles. Horrible company. In the last 6 or 7 months my rent has been raised by $150. First a 35% increase on a $250 unit. Then I moved to a lower priced unit and a 40% increased was levied after one month. I was not notified in either instance. Needless to say I am in the process of moving. I had a clearance giveaway and several of the people stopped by the office because they didn't read the details of the address.
