very friendly to your face just like any thief, but they raise your monthly fees without telling you it's going to happen. According to them they let you know by "mail". competed thieves and liars. Do not rent from here if it's long term. I've been raised over a hundred dollars. If you rent make sure it's a flat rate with no possibility of being raised
So the business owner responded to my review on Yelp about getting in touch with her, and I've tried SEVERAL times to no avail. Not surprised. I call the number she provided, and all I get is info re my account such as last payment made and when the next payment is due, but no way to speak to an earthling. I have been renting here for over 4 years which has been good until recently when my code started only get me in 15% of the time and this is during the gates hours. I have called multiple times and you never get help which this has been a major inconvenience including now with i not being able to get in but using my correct code
Initially I was impressed with the price and the staff. However I received notice of a rate increase.This is my second rate increase in a few months. That's taking advantage of people. Who wants to keep moving their stuff and that's what they're banking on. Disgraceful tactics .

Warning! you will rent your space under a "promotional" deal and then they will subsequently jack up up your rates. I was originally paying $123/mth and received and email notice of payment every month. In less than a year they raised to $147 and then after 8 months raised to $176. They want you get your stuff in in their facility and then take advantage of the time and expense to move again. I rented at the extra space on Elvis Presley and Gateway from November to March. The representative was really nice when I came in to rent my unit. I had pleasant experiences when going in to pay for my unit monthly, until I received and increase notice in the mail. I called to inquire about what was going on. BUYER BEWARE!!! 18 months ago the front wall of the storage building had a leak which drained into my storage unit. I found the damage(ruined furniture) and notified ES. I moved my belongings to another unit by myself after I came up with the solution to their problem. Flash forward to 2021, Texas freeze broke their pipes and flood. Same response. My problem. I moved out. NEVER will recommend or use ES again.

I use Extra Space Storage on University City Blvd in Charlotte, NC. They are so shady with pricing. I was quoted a price that was reasonable, then I had to add "insurance" on top of that. After just a few months with my items in storage, there is a surprise $15 increase. So annoying and a waste of my money. I will never use Extra Space Storage again. They are shady and manplitive.

The state of Texas Extra Space Storage store #609, in Rowlett TX, on Hwy 66 have a good and professional manager, Lisa. The facility is always so clean. However, the incorporation goes up on the rent every 5 months or 9 months. Why? We are in hard times. I am retired. I saw other states,with this same complaint. You will keep tenants longer.
