I rented a 5x10 space from these guys in March for $70 a month. In July I get a text from them letting me know they took $140 out of my account for that same space. For some reason they doubled the cost of my space. Unfortunately I am gone for the summer and cannot move out of this space until November. I called them and they said they would Only charge me the $70 for August, but of course that didn't happen. Find a better company. My location isn't even nice. Total ripoff!!

I was really happy and impressed AT FIRST. I received the online rate the first month, then my 2nd month it went up by over $100 and now for my 3rd month, I was notified its going up ANOTHER $100!! This is very dirty nasty business! They know how hard it is for people to turn around and pay movers again and go through that moving headache again. I can't believe you , you left your name & number for me to call you so we can discuss this further... but you never answer your calls & you never call back.. so I think you never had any good intentions of helping me out in away... I also have both my Mom's & my Dad's ashes, in my storage.. I just want my pictures, important papers & my parents ashes... can't replace any of that, you are taking everything I own isn't that good enough for you.?? PSA: This company nearly doubled their prices on my daughter after ~3.5 months of use. Is this really how they want to treat people? I bet they've done this to others and I don't know how people that do things like this sleep at night? I would get a contract with them or anyone else in this line of business to try and prevent this type of behavior. You've been warned.

at first I was completely happy with my choice of extra space storage. But then they went ahead and upped the price of my storage unit 80 bucks and never told me anything about it. This weekend my husband made myself move out of extra space storage to another storage unit that was way cheaper these people increase their prices and do not tell their customers and I think it's a bunch of crap. I do not recommend this place

I'm in New York City and have been renting a storage unit at extra space storage in the Bronx. I've been renting there for almost 4yrs straight but about 2 yrs ago I did a news article on them for not having a working elevator in a 7 plus store building for over 2 yrs but meanwhile still charging the clients the same fees. In November of 2021 I had a outstanding payment of $700 in which I paid on November 3rd 2021. I tried all day long to make payment to my storage unit and spoke to over 10 people and not one person helped me. All I needed was a code so I could change my password and get into my account and pay.

Extra Space Storage just raised my storage fee in Bronx, NY, over 40% without notice from $99 to 141 a month. This is typical of their business practices. This is forba storage space advertised at a "special rate" two years ago at under $70 a month. It gone up in price 100% in two years. I expect to tell Extra Space Storage that if this latest fee hike is not rescinded, i am closing my account. I look forward to posting their response here.
