The good: very clean building, well-lit, lots of size options, always easy to find a cart to haul your things, easy elevator access, never too busy there. The bad: I have had my items in a 5 x 7 locker for a year now and they have already increased my rental fee.. TWICE! Once was just a few months after I started, and the second time was at my year anniversary. The price has gone up about 25% already. Had they told me up front that the price was variable and could change on a whim, I wouldn't have placed my items in t... read more

Not sure you can beat their prices, their cleanliness and generally professional staff. We used this place as an 'in between' between moves for a few months and were quite happy. It's well lit, easy to get in and out of, secure and the prices were more reasonable than anything else we could find in the city...Carts are available for easy use too. If there are improvements to be made, I'd suggest that 7PM is a bit early to have their gate close (Cannot access your units after this time)...I think a washroom outside of the ... read more

I keep meaning to finally write a review instead of preying on everyone else's, and Extra-Space Storage was what finally got me to get off my ass and write something. It has everything you want in a storage facility: - Super-friendly and accomodative management - Secure (you get a unique code that you have to use to get into the parking garage, then again at the elevator, then again to get out, not to mention the badass lock they give you... to keep!) - CLEAN - Spacious elevators, and lots of dollies/handcarts lying around f... read more

Have you ever needed to rent a truck at U-Haul in San Francisco? You kind of dread it, as the staff always appears to be bothered to help you and the rental facility always seems to be full of down and out types. Well, I'm not renting a truck at Extra Space Storage, but I had just the opposite experience today when I went in to inquire about rates - rental trucks and storage spaces seem to go hand in hand. Talk about a clean facility! Secure and well lit and a very professional staff manage this new location just off the... read more

I rolled into Extra Space Storage on my first day in San Francisco. This place is great! It's clean, the staff is very helpful and professional, and the units are super secure. Also, the prices are good and you can pay your bill online or over the phone. On my second day there, my lock got messed up and it took them under ten minutes to cut it and replace it at no extra charge. Awesome!

Overall I was very impressed. We stored all of our stuff for a 6 month extended trip and compared quite a few storage places and this one came out on top. What I like: -Clean -Well-lit (It's kinda scary to be in a huge dark storage facility alone) -Great security: individual alarms/key codes for each person/unit -Gated -Extremely nice & responsive staff -Decently priced

I compared with the nearby Public Space storage and Extra Space was dramatically better. Extra Space storage has new, clean facilities. They also have a neat security system -- each compartment has an alarm, tied to your personal code. The prices as of Oct-Dec 2006 were very reasonable, and I got two months free on a special. The staff was always friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a pleasure to use their services.

New facilities, which are clean, friendly and super helpful service! Great specials going on at the moment so hurry and store your stuff. Minus one: No easy parking but close to the freeway.

You CANNOT trust Extra Space Storage. This business is the SCAM of the century. All they care about is getting your money. They honestly couldn't care less about customers. It doesn't matter how long you've been a customer. There are NO rewards for loyalty. Extra Space Storage lures you in at a lower price with deceptive marketing, and then they immediately jack up the price and continue to do so NONSTOP. There should be state legislation which prevents storage companies from doing this. Please take 5 minutes to email the ... read more
