I wish I had read the reviews before desperately scheduling at the Bellevue location Horrible the so called manager Abeyta the worse!! but I suppose that's why he's there and that's why there's no time management and no people skills. Southcenter GJ is 100 times better much more professional staff and stylists. I had Stevie who was supposed to give me a base color and full foil but bc she was a little slow and disorganized they wanted to cancel my cut has anybody ever heard of such a thing at a supposed major salon. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! That is even rating too high. Don't waste your time!! I would give zero stars if I could. Haven't had a haircut since January, everything closed down before I could get my next cut. I had an appointment Wednesday to get my haircut. Woohoo! Gene Juarez called Tuesday afternoon and left a message asking if my appointment could be moved an hour back. I called back to say it is fine. I had been going to the Gene Juarez Spa at the Galleria for over 10 years. It was my favorite place to get a massage. It was luxury and pampering at it finest! The massage was always fantastic but what put it over the top were the extras that came with it. I loved the calming foot soak that began the service and the showers at the end - AMAZING! Our Galleria location was spectacular at 24000 square feet and an incredible dressing suite and when we moved into the Bravern our focus changed to the actual treatment's provided and more of a community feel for the dressing area. I can't believe this place! I can give them -100 stars if I could! I went to get a haircut today, she barely washed my hair, give me a horrible cut, and then another hairdresser checked it out said it doesn't look good. There was no one who was able to fix it and then they referred me to another location, I checked the reviews - that location was low rated as well. I've always loved the Bellevue Gene Juarez. Grace and Paige are both such a great stylists. Unfortunately, things changed when I took advantage of their free bang trim. I would warn anyone who goes in for the bang trim that they do not stand by their work. The stylist not only cut my bangs but he cut the longer side bangs and a few framing layers. My error as I thought you had asked for a complimentary haircut and not just a redo bang trim. You can stop in any time. I have been so disappointed with Gene Juarez ever since Gene sold the business. The customer service and quality of care is just not the same. I am upset with another bad experience, I recently purchased a gift card during the promotion period offering an extra $15 bonus card. This bonus card, one cannot be used on the same day of purchase and two has an expiration date which is only a couple month away. Theresa, The promotional bonus gift cards are offered to drive clients/business into our Salons during a specific time period. The promotional gift cards have no cash value and have an expiration date of 30 to 60 days which is in line with most companies who offer a gift with purchase. Once the bonus gift card expires the discount code is removed from the system and the cashier can't redeem or override and apply the discount. Definitely go here if you want to be in an assembly line to get your hair done by a premier colorist. I called and made an appointment for full highlights and all over color but when I sat down in the stylist chair she said I don't have enough time for full highlights and your hair would be orange not blonde highlights . (My hairstylist in CA would never let her clients leave her salon looking like carrot top) I asked the stylist to leave the bleach in longer she said I don't have the time . Wow, just came to the new Bravern location for spa treatments and was blown away by the downgrade of the facility. They clearly don't value their spa clients like they did at the last location. Cramped, no Swiss (not Vichy) shower or steam room, crowded changing room, zero privacy, very awkward. Plus all of the prices of services have skyrocketed! What is going on Gene Juarez? We have not had a Vichy shower in any of our locations in approx. 10+ years. it was difficult for us to discontinue this service but we were only offering it in 3 locations and the actual Vichy shower was no longer being manufactured and we could no longer get replacement parts. This was the first time I went to get a pedicure at the new location in the Bravern and I was so disappointed. It was similar to getting a pedicure at the neighborhood nail salon, not the luxurious private experience that I remembered. Definitely not worth the price! Would not recommend. Go to your neighborhood salon and get BOTH a mani and pedi for less
