Sent my daughter there for a graduation gift. This place is expensive and I thought their prices would reflect the luxury spa experience, but they removed all amenities (which I didn't know) and front desk staff are unhelpful and snotty. Also really hard to get someone on the phone. For that much money, you could definitely have a person devoted to answering the phones. I was very disappointed with GJ receptionist Tyler at Bellevue location. I felt discriminated while being compared to other guests at the saloon due to possibly my skin color. This morning I was at the Bellevue GJ salon for my scheduled appointment. At the reception, I was told by Tyler, that he was unable to see any appointment for me today and GJ is booked for all day. This salon has LOST MY BUSINESS. After seeing a stylist for 10+ years, the frustration of making an appointment has driven me away. When you call in, it is 10+ minutes to talk to someone, then you get through and are put on hold another 10 minutes to check availability? I initially went to the University location where I worked with Sydney. She was very sweet however, the final outcome was not only significantly different than I requested (completely wrong color etc) but it was poorly executed overall. I left the salon with vibrant dark red roots which were not at all blended with the rest of my hair. Don't bother going here. I was a repeat customer, who used to see Layne and Coco, and just had a gut wrenching experience here. I made an appointment weeks ago online, got a babysitter, took time off of work for the afternoon - all so i could get my hair cut and colored before a big event. I decided to try something different with my hair color. I made an online appointment for all over color and the stated starting price is $89.00. By the time I finished booking it jumper to $149.00. I figured oh well, maybe just once. Went to my appointment on 4/12 and was graciously greeted by the colorist Kim. We talked about my color and adding brightness with some foils. I went to to this location to return products I bought from another location few days ago. Unopened/never used. First, one staff said it is no problem I can return here. Second staff said usually I can't but they can make one exception to contact the other store and accommodate. Third staff, said this is not possible, the system doesn't accept. What kind of training staff who was supposed to assist customers are getting? Confusing and wasting my time.

Extremely disappointed with how rude the manager Taylor was. I had booked service with Veronica for a balayage and color. We aligned in brown with caramel and she saw the picture. After washing it out she acknowledged that she messed up my hair because she did something wrong with the gloss. I appreciate that she owned her mistake and offered a redo. Booking the appointment was challenging to begin with. Once I finally was able to book the appointment and enter my credit card information to secure the appointment, come the day of to find out my appointment was missing. I haven't been to a GJ in ages.
