This salon needs to get over themselves with the continual price increases for a haircut that takes less than 20 minutes. Christophe has raised his prices four times in the past year and a half. From $150 to now $186! He does a fair job but I can go to Vidal Sassoon in New York and get a beautiful haircut for $150 from a very experienced stylist. Do not go to this hair salon, especially for hair extensions. This is NOT the Gene Juarez from pre-Covid years sadly. After 25 years of being a monthly client, rather than simply owning up to the fact that they had erroneously overcharged me on a visit (yes -- charging me $3500 for hair extensions) they tried to argue that all the prior charges were just too low. Unbelievable. Can you imagine? Thank goodness for American Express.

If I can give 0 I would I had a bad experience with my previous hair cut then I booked a facial because I received a gift card and I couldn't reach there because of icy road conditions but they want to charge 92 dollars even though I made the appointment not even 24 hours ago. Bad policies, bad customer service and don't care for people but just money hungry

I was very disappointed in my experience this morning at the Gene Juarez in Bellevue. Each summer when I'm in town, I schedule a facial. For all those years it was with Nicole (who has now left). I look forward to my facial and the experience around it. I loved coming in and having cucumber water and getting a foot massage (which no longer happens since they moved), the lovely locker rooms and lockers. Then the facial is always wonderful. Sent my daughter there for a graduation gift. This place is expensive and I thought their prices would reflect the luxury spa experience, but they removed all amenities (which I didn't know) and front desk staff are unhelpful and snotty. Also really hard to get someone on the phone. For that much money, you could definitely have a person devoted to answering the phones. I was very disappointed with GJ receptionist Tyler at Bellevue location. I felt discriminated while being compared to other guests at the saloon due to possibly my skin color. This morning I was at the Bellevue GJ salon for my scheduled appointment. At the reception, I was told by Tyler, that he was unable to see any appointment for me today and GJ is booked for all day. This salon has LOST MY BUSINESS. After seeing a stylist for 10+ years, the frustration of making an appointment has driven me away. When you call in, it is 10+ minutes to talk to someone, then you get through and are put on hold another 10 minutes to check availability? This has happened several times this month and I'm done with a salon that charges premium prices for a subpar experience. I initially went to the University location where I worked with Sydney. She was very sweet however, the final outcome was not only significantly different than I requested (completely wrong color etc) but it was poorly executed overall. I left the salon with vibrant dark red roots which were not at all blended with the rest of my hair. Don't bother going here. I was a repeat customer, who used to see Layne and Coco, and just had a gut wrenching experience here. I made an appointment weeks ago online, got a babysitter, took time off of work for the afternoon - all so i could get my hair cut and colored before a big event. I'd also like to add context that i know my hair takes extra time. On Monday i called their salon MULTIPLE times to confirm that there was enough time for my appointment (receipts attached).
