I decided to try something different with my hair color. I made an online appointment for all over color and the stated starting price is $89.00. By the time I finished booking it jumper to $149.00. I went to to this location to return products I bought from another location few days ago. Unopened/never used. First, one staff said it is no problem I can return here. Second staff said usually I can't but they can make one exception to contact the other store and accommodate. Third staff, said this is not possible, the system doesn't accept. What kind of training staff who was supposed to assist customers are getting? Confusing and wasting my time.

Extremely disappointed with how rude the manager Taylor was. I had booked service with Veronica for a balayage and color. We aligned in brown with caramel and she saw the picture. After washing it out she acknowledged that she messed up my hair because she did something wrong with the gloss. I appreciate that she owned her mistake and offered a redo. Booking the appointment was challenging to begin with. Once I finally was able to book the appointment and enter my credit card information to secure the appointment, come the day of to find out my appointment was missing. I haven't been to a GJ in ages. I booked an appointment for a full ballayage with Nazila. She seemed to be in a rush and told me that she wouldn't be able to blow dry my hair in the end because she was under the assumption that I was also getting a haircut. She said she would transfer over to a colleague for my blow dry. I was ok with it even though this isn't what I expect at a luxury salon where I'm paying $350 for a service. Post Covid the spa experience is super disappointing. The reason to come to Gene Juarez is for the luxury experience. They have removed the spa element but have not adjusted their prices to reflect the downgrade in experience. Clients should save their money and just go to Spa Envy as the experience is the same. Super disappointing.

The hairstylist professionals are absolutely amazing! This is not a reflection of them. Gene Juarez itself is greatly suffering in their scheduling ability. I've been mis-scheduled numerous times and their call center can't even get a hold of the salon to confirm appointments... Broken system they need to fix for such a high-end salon.
Had a very poor experience at this location today. My stylist was more than 20 minutes late. Very poor customer service. I am also pregnant and have to wear a face shield instead of a mask for medical reasons and the staff was not accommodating what so ever. They made my experience stressful and not enjoyable. I ended up not having my hair dried since they were so late to begin with so walked out with wet hair as I was running late for the rest of my day. The worse experience evere, very poor customer service, very bad attitude of front desk people, and poor knowledge of the hair stylist. Never go back there again.
