Absolutely terrible. I went in for a balayage on my natural blond hair and the guy who did it completely messed it up. He (Kevin I think) left the toner on way too long and it turned my blond highlights BLUE. We called 3 different times complaining saying they'll give us a call back and never did. When we finally got to come in for a redo the new lady (Layne L) was extremely rude and actually made it worse, more damaged, didn't remove the toner, and even made my natural blond hair darker and for 450$!! I will never be coming... read more

Jaycie, I do apologize that you are still unhappy after the complimentary Full Balayage and Kerastase Treatment provided. Please call 425-455-5511 if you would like to discuss further with a Bellevue Salon Manager.

I wish I could comment on service but after waiting 35+ minutes for my appointment they informed me that the stylist did not check the system and did not realized that I was waiting. She then moved on to another service (possibly a personal obligation) and I was told that I could come back another day. To add salt to the wound on my very disappointing walk back to the car they called to inform me that I never showed up for my appointment and were going to charge my credit card. The manager at the front is very kind, I feel b... read more

Not the place to go to if you expect your stylist to listen to you. I have naturally curly hair and asked for a haircut that would allow my curls to have some lift and style. I told the stylist that I like a lot of layers, but I kept getting the " I like to give my new guest soft layers then fix it if they want when they come back." Yea.., now I have triangle hair. It seems like Big Box salons train their staff NOT to listen to the client and endorse the attitude of the stylist knows better. This is why I will never set foo... read more

Bring back the Advanced Training Salon , train customer service it's went downhill since the 90's , too Orwellian today. The salon used to be a fun experiance, with professional, friendly staff. Now it has a less friendly, stodgy front desk. Stylists have changed: lacking in conversation, when the customer like me engages with the hair dresser I'm asked : what does ( insert word here) mean? If you don't know go find it out. Hair stylists needs to be trained in the art of conversation. GJ sure. Has changed since the 90's.

Went to K.Logan she charges $135 per cut) for a new style. She did not listen and cut my hair obscenely short. I went back for her to put layers in and it was worse. Pictures speak for themselves. And no, they did not provide a refund - just two additional appointments to fix the disaster.

Business response:

Dear Guest, we did our very best to make this right your you. Your service was 6/9/2022, we provided a complimentary redo haircut 6/16/2022 and 6/29/2022 and ultimately provided a refund as well. We apologize that we were not able to provide the end result you were hoping for. .

This salon needs to get over themselves with the continual price increases for a haircut that takes less than 20 minutes. Christophe has raised his prices four times in the past year and a half. From $150 to now $186! He does a fair job but I can go to Vidal Sassoon in New York and get a beautiful haircut for $150 from a very experienced stylist. They do wonderful cuts there that last for months. Jean Juarez, from what I have heard from the manager, is setting volume goals and if the stylist hits the goals then they can de... read more

Do not go to this hair salon, especially for hair extensions. This is NOT the Gene Juarez from pre-Covid years sadly. After 25 years of being a monthly client, rather than simply owning up to the fact that they had erroneously overcharged me on a visit (yes -- charging me $3500 for hair extensions) they tried to argue that all the prior charges were just too low. Unbelievable. Can you imagine? Thank goodness for American Express.

Business response:

Mary, I appreciate you taking the time to talk with me yesterday and we wish you the very best in the future. Sincerely, Colleen

If I can give 0 I would I had a bad experience with my previous hair cut then I booked a facial because I received a gift card and I couldn't reach there because of icy road conditions but they want to charge 92 dollars even though I made the appointment not even 24 hours ago. Bad policies, bad customer service and don't care for people but just money hungry

I was very disappointed in my experience this morning at the Gene Juarez in Bellevue. Each summer when I'm in town, I schedule a facial. For all those years it was with Nicole (who has now left). I look forward to my facial and the experience around it. I loved coming in and having cucumber water and getting a foot massage (which no longer happens since they moved), the lovely locker rooms and lockers. Then the facial is always wonderful. But this morning I was asked to change in the room where my facial took place in front ... read more

Business response:

Dear Lynn, I apologize that your skincare therapist did not give you the privacy to change as she should have or provide you with the customer service you are accustomed to when visiting Gene Juarez Salons & Spas. We recently reintroduced beverages including ice water, coffee and market spiced tea and beverages are now served in biodegradable cups to continue our sustainability promise. At this time we have not re-opened the dressing rooms in any of our Salon locations. Please contact me at 425-748-1462 if you would like to... read more
