I want to give a huge shout out to Elizabeth who fixed my hair this morning. She saw me waiting for the cashier after my color and blow dry yesterday. I was near tears as I just had a horrible experience. She had done a blowout for me the week before and could sense right away I wasn't happy. She had me come in the next day to do my hair the way it should have been done to begin with. This is the second time post color this happened to me. My visit today was beyond disappointing. I've been a member of Gene Juarez for years and have loved the Bellevue location every time. However now that it is at a new location I am severely disappointed. The women's spa is cramped, dirty and anything but peaceful. Not to mention the waiting area for women is located in the same area that guests are supposed to foot soak and relax-not relaxing at all! With their new location, and the lack of spa amenities, they've lost me as a customer. They obviously don't value spa guests, and instead are focusing on the salon--which is fine, of course, but why would anyone pay spa prices for a massage with NO amenities such as a steam room, sauna, etc? If they won't listen to the large number of previously loyal spa customers, and expand to offer what other spas do, they either need to adjust prices to reflect their minimal/basic services, or be prepared to lose customers.

It's truly disappointing to have to come back and review this facility at its new location. On a very important weekend with two significant events, one for my son, and one for myself, I booked back to back appointments for haircoloring here -- we wanted to come to the best for such significant occasions. I had a super disappointing experience. I've been a client at Gene Juarez for years. The move to Bravern is a downgrade and the quality of service has gone down hill. I went for a facial and wax appointment. Not sure who designed the new space but the women's locker room is cramped- a tiny changing area, a single sink and shower just doesn't cut it. More like a locker room! Went to have a massage and facial, my services were fine. However, if you are looking for a luxury spa, this would not be the place. After my services, I wanted to shower, the shower head was clogged, so I had to keep my head really close to the shower head to rinse the shampoo out. When I went to dress, there were three other women in the dressing room and since the dressing area is about 8 X 8 area, two of the women had to dress near the sink area. So disappointed in the "new" Bellevue Gene Juarez. The huge, amazing locker room with swiss showers and steam room have been downgraded to a pathetic tiny locker room approx 1/8th of the previous one. My massage therapist talked the ENTIRE one hour and I had the luxury of paying $110 for it.The ambiance is no longer there and I will not be going back. :(

Went to the new Bravern location and was quite disappointed in the women's locker room. So small, only 1 shower and 1 changing room. The Galleria location was much better. The waiting area where you receive the complimentary foot soak was also quite small and didn't have the ambiance of the Galleria location. I did received an excellent massage. Over $60 for a men's haircut...and the haircut wasn't even that good. What a joke. I've had better from Sport Clips. with more pampering.
