I cannot believe how terrible my girlfriend was just treated here... She is mixed and has extremely curly hair. She notified the establishment when making the appointment. At the appointment she was turned away and asked repeatedly "well are you sure you've been here before". Treating her like garbage because she was dressed in sporty clothes and no makeup. I am so disappointed. I finally decided to bite the bullet and try an expensive salon. My stylist was very friendly, but the entire time she was talking and telling stories. She never asked me anything personal about myself. In fact, she was so busy talking that she must've forgotten how to give a haircut, because the left side of my hair is now an inch longer than the right. My appointment was postponed 35 minutes without any prior call or message. After I reached and checked in , the manicurist came to me and said that she has to postpone my appointment by 15 minutes and I could wait "if I want to" her tone didn't seem too friendly leave alone apologetic. I started going to Gene Juarez in Feb this year and the stylist did a great job with a new calligraphy cut. I also needed color done and she gave me a recommendation. She even introduced me to the colorist and subsequently I made a consultation appointment. I was pleased with the consultation, but she was booked until August, so I made appointment for the 17th. When I think of this spa I think of an up scale salon. Well my visit did not go as planned. I went in for a partial foil, an appointment that takes about 1 1/2 hrs with tip around $150. Well after my foil was out, the stylist proceeded to dry my hair ( no products added for shine, frizziness, etc.) I then noticed she used her hands, seeing my hair has natural curl your gonna need a round brush or it will be frizzy. Had a very disappointing experience with Bernie today. First thing he said when he saw me and started my appointment was "wow this hair is wrecked". I was cutting off about 8 inches and inquired about donating to which he responded "trust me, no one would want this hair". Very rude and unprofessional. I'm giving 2 stars because the haircut he gave was good but I was extremely unhappy with this appointment and will not be returning. Plenty of other people can cut hair and be nice. I've had okay experiences here in the past but today was probably the most disappointing. Earlier this week on Tuesday I booked a haircut appointment for Thursday morning. I received text and email confirmation for my appointment. Terrible. Their reception staff is completely inept. This is the SECOND time in six months that I have showed up for an appointment, they check me in, this time I was waiting 20 minutes (last time it was 40) and then I ask the front desk if it will be much longer, only to hear that my service provider no-showed. They should call, not check me in, and not have me waiting around like an idiot. Also, it's my sisters wedding in two days, so thanks for that Gene Juarez Redmond. Completely useless.

I waited for over a year to get my hair cut due to the pandemic and finally decided it was safe enough to go, after getting my first vaccination. My appointment was scheduled for 4:45PM and I was concerned about heavy traffic to the Redmond location. I arrived at 4:20PM and was prepared to go shopping and return for my appointment.
