Carson did not listen to anything I requested about my hair cut. In fact, she did EXACTLY what I asked her not to do. I walked out of there paying nearly $500 for balayage, cut, and some product. I cut my hair once a year, and it is pretty long and straight. My requests were very simple, about 7 or 8 inches off, layers, and NO straight across cut. I have been visiting Gene Juarez for 10+ years, but as of recently, I am afraid I am going to have to take my business elsewhere. What has just happed to me was shocking!!! Two days before my appointment, I received a phone call to confirm my appointment at 12:45pm, on the same day of my appointment, at 11:10am, I received another phone call and informed me that my appointment was at 11:00. After communicated over the phone, it was agreed that my appointment can be moved to 12:00. I've never been a big fan of the GJ format however, after moving to a somewhat remote area and working a ton, I decided to try the Redmond location. The idea of a one stop shop is appealing in consideration of my busy schedule. Well, they continually waste my time. Terrible customer service. Their phone doesn't work for 2 months already. They don't answer messages and emails either. You have to go to the salon to make an appointment, I don't have time for that. There're good stylists working in this place but I'm pretty sure they're loosing a lot of business now.

Ok what is the deal with this place? I call and I'm on hold waiting for a human to answer for over three minutes. So then I try texting per their website, and no response a day later. I've put in enough effort. They clearly don't want the business enough that they're making themselves available to even book an appointment, so I'll go elsewhere.

I had been a devoted customer of Gene Juarez since the 90's. I have always had stellar service and been thrilled with my color. Lately in the last few years each time I go, I am less impressed. This last service, I had a balayage and all over color. It turned orange. It was supposed to be blonde. Not so great for a $300.00 service.
