As I new resident on the Eastside of Seattle I called for a colorist appointment yesterday when I couldn't get in to see my usual stylist. I'm very picky about my hair color and starting with someone new was unsettling. I was offered an appointment with Aelita, a senior colorist, so decided to take a chance on her. This rating is for the BELLEVUE Gene Juarez MANAGER that apologized and not for the REDMOND Salon. I was super impressed that the manager at Bellevue responded to this post. About a week later from the review, I received an apology note that was mailed to my house. Not sure how the Manager was able to get my information, but she did. She asked to give the Bellevue location a shot and to work with their senior stylist. I really appreciate this effort to make it right. I can't speak to the knowledge or expertise of the whole staff, but my regular colorist is the BEST. Her name is Hayley. It's as if she was born to do hair. She's really easy to talk to and incredibly nice. Her hair skills are out of this world. I've gotten my hair colored with her many times and I've never been disappointed. I don't trust anyone else with my hair. Not to mention, my hair is really thick and difficult to do. She is fabulous regardless!

For a franchise I enjoy this place. I always feel like a valued customer here. Luna is especially good at making your highlights look natural and when your hair grows out it looks even better. How often can you say that?

I've been a regular here for about seven years. During that time, I've seen a number of different hair stylists and colorists, mostly because my schedule makes it difficult for me to get there - so I need to see whoever is available when I am. The positive thing about Gene Juarez is the staff is, for the most part, consistently good. I've had some cuts that I was thrilled with, many more that I was happy with, and I don't think any that I was truly unhappy with. Really nice place to get your hair done. I will never go anywhere else to get my color done. However I can't give them five stars because the cut your hair too short, which is better than keeping it too long, but still. I prefer to cut my own hair anyway. They make the color look really natural though. Whenever I tell someone I naturally have black hair they are shocked at the fact that it isn't natural. I've been a customer of GJ for years. Any time I have "strayed" I normally end up right back. I love Deidre, she's amazing with color and if you have curls, like me, see Jenn for the cut. She understands layering curls. :)

I have been going to GJ for over ten years and never thought of writing a review. My facial technician is amazing, Faree, not sure if I'm spelling it right. She does an amazing facial and you leave like a new person! She's so nice and I enjoy having conversations with her during my visit . I would highly recommend going to the Redmond Salon.
