I'm updating my review to 5 stars as my experiences here over the last few years are constantly great. I go to Gene Juarez now for all my beauty needs, as I feel all the staff are a big family, and the vibe feels great - keep up the good work!!

I have been coming to Gene Juarez Salons for over 30 years. After brief forays at other salons, I return always return because their designers are the best trained in all kinds of hair. Mark at Redmond is amazing. I go in hating my hair and come out loving it! He is talented, professional, compassionate and creative. He cut my daughter's hair and no, we did not come out cookie cutter twins. I have watched the other designers, and find them to also very good...but they are just not Mark!

I have gone here twice and have had both Alyssa & Jasmine. Both were very friendly and did an excellent job on my cut. The place is clean & very spacious. I imagine it can get very busy but I have always gone in the mornings to avoid this, being the early bird that I am :) It is pricey, but aren't all haircuts that aren't Great Clips or Groupon's? :(

I've had some bad haircuts from here and I've had some excellent ones. It really can be hit or miss. One time my hair ended up totally uneven and my friend had to fix it. I've been seeing Alyssa for the last year or so and she is fantastic, she really listens to what I want and does a great job styling my hair. If I was giving her a review solely, it would be a 5. Once you find an artist you love, this is a great salon!

Good: Hair turn out amazing after a botched job done by a different salon. Girl that did my blow dry was super sweet and friendly. Very very sweet girl at the front with a heavy accent that checked me out. Bad: Everyone else was SUPER icy. I felt like I was an inconvenience most the time. Hands down - best service I've ever received! I needed a conditioning treatment and blow out for some much needed hair therapy. My hair is naturally wavy and course but Jasmine at the Redmond location tamed my mane. She was great at creating conversation and I felt VERY comfortable considering the hair disasters I've experienced in the past at other salons. 5 stars isn't enough!

I called to book some last minute services for my birthday - I talked to Melissa who bent over backwards to accommodate me. She even tipped me off to the gift card special which saved me $30 on my services for the day - talk about thorough customer service! Emmy made my day with the ultimate relaxation massage - amazing. Even the checkout was a pleasure. I highly recommend Emmy for massage & I have had quite a few. If you can get Melissa on the phone to help you, all the better.

Sarah the nail tech is the best! Thought about writing this review while I was in her chair. We did the hour long spa pedi. As someone who gets pedis all the time from spas, this was the best yet! I will be coming back for sure (and will cheat on my spa)

Saw Kim for a haircut and she was fantastic. I've lived here for 2 years and could not find a good person/place for a haircut. Very happy and totally worth it! I will be back.
