My bill came to $400 today for foils and cut on hair and nails and I want to hide afterwards. Hair will need to be repaired by another salon. Although services were rendered by their most experienced staff, my treatments were poorly done in a brisk manner with harsh, caustic chemicals. The color glaze makes you gag and tear. When I went in to get my hair cut I explained what I didn't like about my last hair cut I had done somewhere else. He proceeded to cut my hair the exactly the same way and then styled it so horrible that I almost cried on my way home. I called them the next day to complain. They offered to have me come back so they could fix it. I did make an appointment but later canceled as I did not have enough length left for them to mess it up again. I wanted a shag cut and got a bob. She was technically skilled but took so much time I could get the cut I wanted by the end.

I have been a customer at Gene Juarez for over 15 years and when you pay good money for a color you expect the colorist to be trained and certified. Talia spent the better part of 5 hours, YES I said (5 hours) on a simple color and foil. She was told not to go lighter on the foil and I know my color is in the computer. Either she wanted to be creative or she didn't know what she was doing, she knew full well what I expected and I shouldn't have been her Ginny pig. I hadn't been to Gene Juarez in awhile but was given a gift card and was really looking forward to a spa pedicure. First of all the girl at the front counter was wearing an outfit that I don't know in what setting it would be acceptable. I was never asked if I would like a beverage. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed in the customer service received. Gene Juarez has always been a cut above the rest and you go to be pampered. Sadly this service was lacking. I will not return to the Southcenter location.

I specially had asked for someone who knew how to deal with Asian hair . I got my highlights done . I felt with the first wash hair turning slightly brassy . Thought may be I am thinking too much into but with the next wash my hair became even brassier . The gold highlights turned into brassy red color! When I called they said since it has been two weeks they can't do anything about it .But can suggest what other service I should do ( yes! I will have to pay) for color correction! Truly disappointing experience!!!!
Horrible online booking system! Very frustrating. It just keeps going around and leading back to the beginning without a spot to actually book an appointment. I had hoped to give them another try after two bad experiences; one due to sloppy hair color left on my face and ears.
I never do reviews but this spa has really done a poor job. I booked a facial, color and mani, I've got 2 calls to cancel my facial and rescheduled my color. I'm here on business from Portland and was looking to relax and be pampered but that hasn't happened. I would not recommend them.

Decided to get a gel manicure after my haircut. It was $15 more than my regular nail place and as I was driving home I noticed that a spot on one nail didn't get all the way polished. And now, just three days later, two nails are badly chipped. It's too far away to go in to get it fixed so lesson learned. Bummer.
