I've come here for a manicure and two pedicures, thanks to a gift card. All were very pampering experiences. Both ladies who provided the service were pleasant and attentive to my comfort, offering more pillows, beverages, etc. The pedicures were relaxing and the shellac manicure lasted for over two weeks without a single chip. I never felt rushed or like they were in a hurry. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the prices seem high compared to other places that do a quality job as well.
Didnt really like the hair cut and color I got, but the nail salon is great. Mikala is a great nail tech, especailly when getting shilac!!! Peyton is great for eye brows and Adonis is a great front desk clerk. If it weren't for them I probably wouldn't go to gene Juarex anymore, even thought I have been going since I was a kid. Ever since management changes the standard has fallen some.
My daughter and I used to love coming here, however, the last 2 times my daughter had an appointment, it was canceled. The first was hours before prom and the other was for her birthday. I understand that stylist call out, but it's super disappointing when it's booked far in advanced for a special occasion only to be cancelled a couple hours before. I will be looking for either a different location or a different salon altogether.

I have been a happy client at various Gene Juarez since high school - 25 years? I recently saw the same gal who I love for an all over color. The results were different than the previous 10x I've seen her and suspect the dye was switched as it was light on the crown and very dark on the bottom (basically opposite of what has been done in the past), I also had a new gal doe cut and even though I said no layers she layered my thin hair, what is the obsession with layers? sent my daughter to Gene Juraez -Southcenter for her back to school hairdo. the ease of booking and customer service was grade A. what soured my experience is they didn't explain the service they were providing in it's entirety. after requesting balayage blonde hair color and conditioning for $230. Greg O. absolutely botched and ruined my hair. He did not take the time to look at my appointment booking and did not give me the services I had scheduled. He decided to give me layers, which I had not asked for, and they are all 2.5 inches apart. My hair is completely ruined and I am humiliated to have to have my hair this way for the two weddings I'm going to this month. Please do not ever let Greg cut your hair!

First time visiting this salon; waited almost 15 minutes past my appointment time for my wax appt at the spa. When I told the tech I thought they had forgotten me - she simply said 'sorry.' I should have turned around and left. She did an OK job on my waxing, but I shouldn't be plucking ANYTHING on my brows the day after a wax appt. Well... the good news is I scheduled a color consult with Mika at the Redmond salon and now I know I don't want her coloring my hair. Why would I hire someone that's disinterested to create the look that I will wear every day for months? She was not friendly and seemed irritated. Told her what I'd done in the past. She had very little to say, just "Balayage" and "we will get into it on the day". After that I didn't even bother to bring out the pics I brought with me.

I have been having my haircut at Gene Juarez, mainly at donwtown branch, for at least 10 years, and my experience has been great. Since this branch is close, I tried South Center branch in January 2022. I made it clear to the stylist that I need a short style.
