I have been a client of GJ since 1988 and was usually pleased with their service. The last couple of times was a very bad experience. The lowest price for a haircut is $60 and up - I pay $80 plus a tip and I believe you get what you pay for (in most cases). My last haircut was so hideous there was literally a CHUNK missing on the side of my face that was very difficult to hide. Went in before and had an amazing cut for my curly locks. Went back to the same person and had a horrible experience. First they double booked the appointment and made me feel terrible for their mistake. Then the "artist" didn't cut my hair like I asked her to and told me she was out of time and that she'd let me come back within 7 days to fix it the way I like it. Should have been done correctly the first time!! Thy didn't charge me for the cut but now I have to waste another hour going elsewhere.

I have been with Gj since way I can remember and it seems that it has changed the way they do business. Their color don't last more than two weeks hence you would need to keep going hence for the over price services. I am disappointed even more due to I asked to speak to a manager and the person on the phone that I'm talking with went to a manager and came back on the phone and just relay the message from the manager to tell me? but why? I had my hair balyaged back in July and it took them an hour to do my hair. I have long and very thick hair, it shouldn't have taken them an hour to do it should have at least taken 2 hours. I had my hair balyaged before and it took them at least 2 hours. The color didn't stay (yes, I did use sulfate free shampoo). I go to school in Texas and my hair stylist here was baffled by my hair. Pros discounts and promotions Cons Bellevue salon has been rude to me and other people I know several times. Haircuts by Aaron are usually pretty bad. Hair colorist get mad if you need a redo. At this salon A hair colorist named Amy was super rude, argumentative, and wanted me to sign a paper that said if I was not happy with the services I will not ask for a redo. I'm disappointed about my service at this location. Got a fill for my eyelashes here two weeks ago. My eyelashes were so sparse by the end of the two weeks. Called to speak to someone at this location and they said the technician would call me back. I received no call. So I went to another eyelash bar and got a fill. The lady there said I barely had any extension to fill because it was so sparse. I payed $92 for a full fill that was barely there. I'm sad I wasted a gift card here. First of all 5 stars to the stylist here who has been cutting my hair for over 10 years!!! Staff here has always been very professional. If I could give zero stars to Gene Juarez corporate I would. Next time you schedule a service pay close attention to the $1-$2 extra charge for "recycling" which this 40 year old company apparently has just begun doing in October 2015. I thought I'd try someone new as I have been driving to downtown Seattle for several years now. I called to make an appointment and specifically asked for a senior level stylist. What I got was an absolutely horrible haircut!! You would think a senior level stylist would know what they're doing but not in this case. I have a medium amount of fine shoulder length hair and now I have half the amount of hair after the stylist took a razor to it and cut off about 3 inches. I should have believed the dozens of other terrible reviews on this salon. I was booked with Alex for a balayage and right off the bat her lack of professionalism made me uncomfortable.
