Weird I have insurance but they was gonna charge me almost 6,000 for my situation. Not like I'll check the insurance if they can cover partial?! Or anything!!! I don't think she knows anything about insurance

Not good at all. DO NOT COME HERE!!! I am moving to another and by the review, seems 100% lot better. Out of 30+ reviews, all are positive (Union City Dental) LONG BUT WORTH THE INFO....... Working in management for the last 8 years you always have to have respect to your employees and most important to your customers. The absolutely worst place to go for dental care. I just got a call from a collection officer saying I owe $270 for care from April 2021. That's 1.5 years ago. I had provided my husband's insurance as a secondary but they said they didn't have it on file. They then claimed that they called me multiple times about the bill, which never happened. I switched dentists summer 2021 because I was sick and tired of Gentle Dental's shady practices, and I guess this was their way of getting that last $$$ from me lol. These people shou... read more

Don't come here! My husband and I visited its Fremont location ( closed now and with very poor reviews) last year under medical benefits. They checked our info each time before we got service. But they kept sending bills to us and said they couldn't find our insurance! We called many times and sent our info again and again! Of course we contacted our medical and got verified each time! But today, we got their bills again! No wonder they have the poorest reviews all the time!! I

---------- Update: At the same day, I have switched to a new Dentist for my son and myself. Great attitude, expressed my intention to go thru insurance, not interested in other items as I just went through deep cleaning. They double checked my insurance and said no problem, preventive and diagnostic are 100% covered by my Delta PPO. The dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants that we've seen were actually great but I have to give 1 star and we're leaving this dental office due to the office staff including the scheduling staff and whoever does billing. First I had to take a day off work to bring my daughter in for an appointment that I scheduled only to find that nobody ever actually scheduled the appointment. I went in to be fitted for my crown after a root canal at another Gentle Dental that has already been paid for. The receptionist said to me "so you don't have insurance?" after I wrote my insurance information down on the paperwork she gave me to fill out that was in front of her. She said that she had never heard of that insurance. I asked her to verify it because it was indeed accurate insurance information. She took over an hour to verify my insurance. Overall - dental work, facility, front desk - are Ok. No major issues but at the same time, they are not exceptional either. It just kind of feels that they just want you to go there, have your procedure done, and they go on to the next patient. I didn't feel that the treatment was personalized and they didn't seem to care if I still have other issues with the work done or is willing to listen. I truly don't recommend this place. Although the receptionists and dentist's assistants were nice. They will charge you a different, much more expensive fee and put it under a different procedure so that they're able to do so. I thought that it was just my experience, but seeing all of the other reviews mentioning the same issue I know that it wasn't just unfortunate. I'd say their cost for braces isn't so bad compared to other orthodontics, but not worth the risk.
