Not Recommended for Several Reasons Print quality is fine. I cannot get after market toner. It's on back order everywhere. I need it for business and haven't had it for too long. It still has black toner but won't print at all, even in black and white, because other colors are low. Ridiculous. Finally, it destroys envelopes. They look horrible after printing. Magenta Toner Cartridge not registering as full - still says replace - can't print. WHAT ARE THE ODDS? ...I am the second person to post this and on the same day!. Just had to replace my first set of colored toners in my printer and the Printer is not recognizing the magenta toner cartridge as being full-the other colored toners appear to register fine. After barely any use, it would not power on and is now just a heavy useless brick. :( It was great while it worked and I barely used it the first 9 months. After 3 years of light duty - No Power, no reason. Back to HP. After decades of HP printers working perfectly, my friend convinced me to try this Brother printer. The printer did not print centered when duplex printing Brother tried to figure out what was wrong, but after hours on the phone and 3 phone calls later, no answer to the question. The told me the files I used were wrong and to blame for that. I used different design programs and made crosses in the center, printed duplex and it never fit. Solid but slow Solid but slow.
stopped working only 8 months later This printer was bought brand new in April and simply stopped working 8 months later. There is no remedy. No way to fix it. RIP OFF!
Terrible Printer DO NOT BUY.... Spend you money on a good HP that will last Printer toner is expensive and then it would drop off my network all the time or not wake up when it was time to print and now it just decided to no longer turn on so no power or nothing. I should have known better than to try and save a couple of dollars and buy a bother printer. I have had HP Laser printers for many years and never had issues like this. Never again Brother. Keep looking, the Entire Brand of "Brothers," Printing is just Garbage I spent around $300 a few years ago for a combination scanner, printer, fax machine - it printed twice then would not feed paper through. I was horrified this past Christmas when my girlfriend surprised me with another Brothers printer. If you go with the Brother's brand you're just throwing your money away.
