My reservation was canceled by the hotel. Because they were over booked. Shouldn’t be able to get a room online through Expedia if they can just cancel on you

Hotel lost my reservation. Booked online. Got to Hotel the next day at 10:00pm after our event got over. Went to check in and they didn't have my reservation. Got in contact with Hotels.com. They did refund my money right away. Wanted to book me at another hotel, since this one was now sold out. I wasn't interested. So i drove home over 2 hours with my family.
The blanket in the closet was dirty and smelled like smoke
Booked reservation on Expedia. I was called by the Casino manager to tell me that there were no rooms, and that it was an Expedia problem, and I would need to deal with the cancelation and refund myself. Expedia does not make up the quantity of rooms available - their reservations are synched, so the casino had an issue. I know this because I own vacation homes and list on expedia.
