Does not support scanning with wifi connection You can print with a wifi connection, but you cannot scan with a wifi connection. Previous brother printers did allow scanning with a wifi connection. This is not made clear in the product description.
Won’t use color ink any more. Color ink stopped working. New ink cartridges don’t make any difference. Tried the “cleaning” and cleaning heads but no difference. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Lasted 18 months I’ve owned this printer since January of 2020. I primarily print B&W to conserve color ink. All of a sudden, it won’t print in black and white. I ran a cleaning cycle to clean the print head and it didn’t help. I contacted the company and they recommended a different cleaning method….which uses an entire cartridge of ink. Wastes ink I use this printer for light printing and scanning for a home office. The print quality is good. Scanning could be a little more straightforward, but it’s not too bad for someone with decent computer skills. If that were all, it would be a 4 star product. The reason I took two stars off and will be replacing the printer is this: it wastes ink. I would not waste your $$ I love brother it is the only printer I have ever bought. I have had this printer for a year. My other printer have lasted me 5+ years. I have had nothing but problems. 1st it was issues with ink for some reason it would only print in purple when you wanted a colored page (resolved). Then issues with connecting to genuine which is their ink service. It had something to do with the proxy (resolved). Now the darn thing keeps jamming. DO NOT BUY Summary: Don't buy it, look for more reliability in a printer. This printer software is frustrating and not reliable. We have owned it for 3 months, lots of connectivity issues. I repeat DO NOT BUY Pros: It prints, doesn't use a lot of ink Cons: Disconnects from our wifi often (literally after printing one document), not user friendly installation, have to restart internet everytime
Worst printer ever Customer support on this printer from Brother has been a total joke. Paper stuck starting on day 1. nearly every time we print it jams. Can't even recognize when the tray is inserted. chews thru ink like a thirsty puppy. Print quality at best is average. The screen to navigate thru menus is less than 2" by 2" and hard to read. not very intuitive. Paper tray can barely hold 10 pages. Stay away from at all costs!

Died after 1 year, Less than 500 sheets printed Paper jam error even though there is no paper jam. plastic piece of junk
