WOMBAT- Waste Of Money Brains And Time This printer just does not work. I installed it and reinstalled it, with a printer cable the second time as directed. Still no printing unless I shut it off and on again and then, GLORY HALLELUJAH, it prints a page.
Constantly shows as Offline 1 star all around for this printer. Decides to constantly reflect as Offline after nearly 2 years of functionality. Apparent fix is to unplug/reboot/remove and add back the printer on the PC. This is a garbage solution. It's supposed to work via WiFi, not reading as Offline, which I don't understand. Definitely not worth buying - save your money for something else.
no instructions on how to set up I emailed the company and still got no instructions to set it up.
TAKE CAUTION IF YOU OWN A MAC Printer set up with a Mac is Difficult - which they do not tell you. First, the original software is not sufficient for a Mac, so you need to connect to WIFI using the touchscreen on the printer OR direct wire connect it to the computer, then initiate WIFI. Now the printer works, but if you want to scan, you have to first download and install PRINT/SCAN/SEND, then download and install PRINT/SCAN/SEND/PUSH - in that order. No words to describe how much I hate this printer. I am a retired librarian. Not the best with technology, but certainly not bad with it. This printer has been difficult to use, unreliable on wireless transmission, and I was never able to understand the vast majority of directions. As a result, we are going to get rid of it and purchase another printer.
Worst printer I’ve ever had Thing is a piece of junk. Extremely clunky user interface. Not easy to setup. Doesn’t even come with a USB cord and it won’t install the drivers via the wireless connection. So either you have to buy a USB cord or have one that will work. Wifi connection issues. Wish I could return it but already got rid of the box.
Worst Printer I've Ever Owned It's been a hassle since it came out of the box. Not worth it, even the print quality is bad compared to my old printer. Just all around not worth your money or time wasted trying to get it to work every time you want to use it.
Stay away Do not waste your money. Constant connection issues. Half the time it’s a major ordeal to print even with it hard wired. I’m forever unplugging it to reset it. My latest issue is it will not register the new ink cartridges. This is junk. It’s trash bound.
Won't Buy Another Brother Our last Brother printer was great especially for the price. However, the new one is slow, terrible quality printing and constantly needs the print heads cleaned. It blows through expensive Brother ink like water. The cartridges seem to only empty half way. I gave up and purchased another printer although this Brother is only 2 months old. The frustrations are not worth it! Glad to get it out of the house.
