Pay a bit more for something better than this one. You get what you pay for - it’s one of the less expensive ones out there. Quite old so set up is not straight forward, not digitally advanced.
Failed after one year of use If you print a great deal, this is not the printer for you. I print about 100-200 sheets a day and within one year, something failed. The ink was splotchy and inconsistent. After running all of the maintenance procedures several times, I was able to eek out a few more sheets. I then bought all new cartridges and called Brother as a last ditch effort. They told me how to run a deep clean which instantly used nearly all of the new black ink cartridge and did not correct the trouble. Too bad for me.... read more
Don’t purchase Not the greatest thing has lines in print not a good printer
Worst Color Printer Ever My HP inkjet provided 10 years of service and the only reason I replaced it was because of a broken paper tray - the print quality was still excellent. The paper tray broke due to an office chair running into it. This thing from Brother is s - l - o - w and print quality is horrible, requires constant print head cleaning just to be barely satisfactory (and this uses half of your ink each time). Would never buy Brother again.
CANNOY GER IT INSTALLED It's good to be able to buy ink cartridges separetly. Unfortunately, I am not able to link it io my desktop computer. Canon, black and white only works great. James
Just buy a B&W Laser Printer I hate this thing. I try to do a scan to PDF, print in black only, or do a factory reset to give it away to Salvation Army and won’t let me do anything because it wants me to replace the yellow ink first. If you want a printer, just buy a black and white laser printer and you’ll never have to be concerned about being out of colors you won’t use.
Would purchase again, think again for Amazon ink program I got away from brother because I had a coupon for a competitor. Never again! I have not had o E problem, it works as it is supposed to, the tech support is responsive when needed but unlike some I am able to find most of answers on FAQ or their community support. Now I am not happy with the Amazon ink replacement program. I was told by Amazon support that it was best if I purchased it myself. So I will let you decide
Wow, what a piece of junk I have never had so many problems with a printer before. I was disgusted with the HP printers breaking down so I went out on a limb to buy a Brother brand printer. What a mistake it was ! I’ll take an hp over brother anyway. Ink jets constantly clog. The buttons are not laid out user friendly. Less than a year old and I’m throwing it away. JUNK!!! Save your money I’m trying xerox next!
Worst printer I've owned. I purchased this printer about three years ago and it has given me nothing but problem after problem. I thought Brother printers were supposed to be good and this had good reviews, but the settings are finicky, the ink doesn't last long and won't print if it decides the cartridge is empty.
