Just another "economy" printer that costs plenty of money but more headaches. This printer functions well enough when things are going its way. Unfortunately, you will experience multiple errors that make printing impossible (as in, the printer is designed to not function) if you opt for remanufactured ink cartridges. I don't like that. I prefer freedom. I realize there can be drawbacks to remanufactured cartridges, but to me, they're usually worth the risk to save about 75% compared to the OEM version mark-ups. A waste of your time. Don’t buy Did not find my network. Would not accept my manual entry. Will not work with 5G says fine print. I’m sending it back after wasting 2 hours. Forget about it if you mainly want to use iOS. Customer service stinks. You cannot talk to a person.
Not your brother Prints very slowly. The front panel is difficult to see. Set-up is a nightmare. Not a very good machine at all. It does not work wirelessly advertised. Not worth the money. Junky machine. Brother Product support is mediocre at best. I wish I could trade it in for a faster and easier to use printer that works better than this one. I would not recommend this product to anybody. You will be sorry you bought it.
Won't stay connected wirelessly to computer!!!!! I never leave reviews, but this thing drives me crazy. It loses wireless connection with my computer usually after about an hour. I then have to go to the printer and re-input the password for the router. I called Brother, and after nearly an hour on hold, I was walked through the same process that I already do to re-connect to my router. Terrible Support I haven't even used this printer, and will have to send it back. I have spent hours trying to set it up, following all instructions closely. I've even tried all the "alternate" setup methods. I've tried all the troubleshooting solutions. The Brother contact page is unavailable. There is no phone #, no email address... nothing. It should not be this difficult. We've had wireless printers similar to this one in the past, and had them set up within minutes. I will NEVER buy this brand again.
Returned not a quality product This unit is not as user friendly as the Canon products and is made poorly and the cartridges do not last long returned
To slow It was easy to set up but printed at 1 page per minute. I didn't believe that write up because another site said 6 pages per minute. But the fastest i could print a page is 25 seconds. That is ridiculous slow. The longest it took to print was 55 seconds for ONE page. Everything else was good - setup and size.
Doesn't read Cyan Ink I went to setup this printer and it says the cyan is low. I HAVE LITERALLY NEVER USED THIS PRINTER BEFORE. DONT BUY BROTHER PRODUCTS.
