Huge It’s a lot bigger than it looks so I ended up returning it. My fault for not looking at the dimensions. It’s very bulky looking and heavy. It also wouldn’t work with my chrome book. It did hookup to my older laptop, though. Printed just fine.
Slow My old HP all in one printer had to be replaced finally. Still works but intermittently. So I bought this product and thought it would be better because it is 15 years newer that my old printer. I am really mistaken. This printer is very slow!!! I thought I checked I checked the pps but I guess not. This is what you get if you just go in a store and rely on a salesperson. It's more economical with the ink cartridge though. 1 star for that.

It was awful! I was so disappointed I was so disappointed! I plugged it in with excitement because everyone told me brothers was the best put it to the settings i needed and then the most horrible sound came out when it started to print! Then the print came out and it was light and just no quality to it! My disappointment was beyond words so i took it back and best buy was great about the return process!

Brother MFC J497DW This is the worse printer you can ever purchase. The paper gets stuck every single time you make an attempt to print. You have to pull the papers out of the back, before the next paper can print. It makes a noise when is printing and takes a very long time to print each page.

Sometimes does not print I am using this wirelessly to print from my laptop. It sometimes freezes up and just won't print. Then the next time I get on my laptop it will start spewing pages out. Sometimes it only prints like half of a page. It is very finnicky and random as to whether I will actually get my print and if it will be the whole print. This might be different if I was actually hard connected and not using wirelessly. And yes my wireless box is an excellent one for high volume usage so it should not be a connection... read more

printer not working properly it keeps getting jammed and put new ink in and it still prints only very lightly can't return till we are allowed out of the house I called the store weeks ago to tell them about the problem they assured me there would be no problem to return this after this is all over and we are allowed to move around freely like before
