printer jamming This printer constantly jammed right out of the box. After an hour of continuous jams the last one tore the paper in the back rollers with no way of getting it out. All the other functions worked well but unfortunately the printer is unusable due to the unreliability. I will be returning.

Piece of junk Don’t waste your money on this model!!! Machine only wants you to use BROTHER INK! ink!!! It won’t work unless it’s used !!! Have 1 ink out and it won’t work,even if you using just black ink. Never again will I buy a Brother anything!!! It’s HP for me!!!! Don’t say I didn’t tell you!!!

Uses ink when not printing; could be better While it is nice to have a very affordable multi-function printer and affordable ink cartridges as well (bonus points for individual color cartridges) this printer has a few issues. We have printed hardly anything in color, yet the color ink seems to be disappearing -- this printer is an ink-craving monster! Hi Kevbo, The machine will use a small amount of ink from each cartridge during regular cleanings to maintain optimal print quality. If the machine is unplugged or displays a "Replace Ink" message for an extended period, the nozzles may clog. Clogged nozzles will affect the print quality and the machine will require cleanings to recover the print quality. The cleanings will consume ink and reduce page yield. Decent printer; some serious limitations Got this printer to replace an excellent HP that quit on us. Print quality is good, but we cannot copy a simple document and the documentation is terrible. Add to this the fact that if a color cartridge runs out, you cannot easily print in B&W; once the "replace cartridge" warning comes on, you are hosed. You will have to unplug the printer, go back through your Print Dialog to ensure B&W printing, etc. It's a MAJOR hassle. I would not recommend this printer.

Poor quality Very poorly made. Price was cheap and I now now why.
Had issues connecting it to my laptop. Had issues connecting it to my laptop. My laptop doesn’t have a cd drive so had to download the driver off brother website. The computer that does have a cd drive, when I inserted the disk in my laptop it didn’t download automatically and the cd doesn’t help at all. The cd is a waste, still had to go online to download the driver.
Not the best printer I’ve ever had It constantly says there’s a paper jam when there’s not one! It’s really frustrating
