Does not work with Windows XP Pro I discovered that this does not work with XP Pro. This was NOT mentioned in the listing. I discovered this only after scewing around with it all day. Apparently, now I can only print from my Windows 10 computer. Be careful what you buy.
Bad out of the box The black will not print with the ink that was shipped with it. Hopefully a new ink cartridge will fix it.
No Ink with printer I received the new printer, it was substantially heavier than my last Epson printer of the same size. The machine feels and appears to be built better but I am put off that it did not come with Ink!!!! Every other printer I ever bought came with a bare minimum of ink and this printer did not. The description says it comes with ink but its a no show.
Piece of junk I have never had more issues with a printer.
Description Works good just claims it can print both sides. Only can scan to print both sides so doesnt really do what it said its suppose to.
Google cloud print not-so-much This printer Works great through my laptop. However, it says Cloud Print ready. That is not exactly true, so beware if you have a Chromebook! The brother app does not work properly, you can go through Chromebooks cloudfront settings however you will not be able to print multiple Pages. As we own the restaurant, we reprint our menu and have to print 45 copies of everything. You have to print them one at a time. Tech support was terrible.
Great but Only for the First 6 Months I was fed up with all the different problems with HP. So this was the first time a tried a different brand. I was very happy for the first 6 months then the Auto Document Feeder stopped working. It would just chew up the paper. It could only scan one page at a time in the glass bed. I fortunately bought it at Costco so they will take it back without any hassle. Exceptional... until I had written a 5 star raving review... but here's my update.... after having this long enough that I cannot return, I have to say this is the BUGGIEST firmware / software printer. I have updated everything, but half way through, it hangs up and I have to cancel and start again. it thinks WAY too much to print a page, but when printing b/w it's blazing fast AFTER it thinks a long time. color... Cheaply made- terrible customer service There are too many cheap plastic parts. After just three months of use, the little flap that keeps the paper from falling out broke . Customer service refused to mail a replacement part saying I would have to drive 30 minutes to a service center where the part would be ordered I would then have to return weeks later to pick it up. This will be my last Brother printer
