Let the buyer beware This product is a A3 11x17” PRINTER. It will NOT scan or copy A3 sheets. Although it is my fault for not vetting the machine thoroughly, I am nonetheless irritated that it wasn’t mentioned in the details of the machine. I can get a machine that does everything for less money and I’d return the piece of crap but it isn’t worth the effort to do so.
Beware buying printers online! I bought this all in one printer to work with 11x17 blueprints. I had another Brother all in one that worked fine, until the control panel died. Geek squad would only repair it on site @ $50/hour, so I thought i'd buy another Brother online. When I opened the box, I found that the printer used 11x17 paper to print only. No Yellow right out of the box, sent it back Unboxed, went through the setup procedure, printed Print Quality Check Sheet, no Yellow pattern. Went through the cleaning procedure twice, still no Yellow pattern. Packed it up and shipped it back. It didn't work right out of the box, I'm not going to fool around with it.
Waste of my time and money Started out fine but now 9 months later, it refuses to print my jobs. Sometimes, I can trick it into printing a job by printing a status report first but who wants to waste paper and ink doing this all the time. I spent almost a day on tech support (they were very nice) but nothing was permanently fixed. I spent hours trying to get jobs printed and it doesn't always work. Extremely Bad printer This is the worse printer I have ever owned. Cannot get it to work with WIFI. I have been in the iT industry for over 30 years - do not waste your hard earned money on this bad printer. On top of everything else you cannot get any help using this printer.
Does not print!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutely out of my mind with frustration with this printer! If this printer goes to sleep it loses connection to your computer and the internet. Every time I use it I have to retype my WiFi password in to it he printer then print a report to get my IP address then i have to type IP address into computer. Terrible. I hate this printer with a passion. It hasn't worked right since I took it out of the box. All my jobs have streaks and lines, despite using the cleaning functions, the colours are patchy and weak, and now my yellow ink nozzle is clogged and it's cost me about $60 in ink to clean it, to no avail. Why can't I just clean the yellow nozzle, why do I have to waste two entire blue and red cartridges too? Very good printer albeit with a few quirks This printer was a replacement for my old HP printer that still worked, but the ink was expensive. I wanted this printer because of the separate ink cartridges and the auto-duplex printing. I had some trouble figuring out how to print on small format paper. The smallest size it will accept is 3.5 x 5 inches. This must be fed through the tray in the back one piece at a time. I had to reformat some of my documents to fit that paper size.
