Terrible item and $150 to return! Terrible item and $150 to return. Black ink cartridges would leak. Upon set up item would not recognize black ink. When inspecting black ink was leaking everywhere. Bought a new ink thinking it was a bad cartridge but same thing happened. This is for a small business so could not wait for new one so bought another at Costco as we needed one fast. Go to return this on Amazon and they charge $150 to return. Will never be buying bigger office supplies from Amazon again. Total scam!
SO SLOW I read reviews online, this printer being one of the top bests of 2018. I replaced my previous printer with this, reading that it was fast and proficient. There were high ratings for all of its features. I am not impressed at ALL. If I felt like packaging it back up and returning it. I would.
Will Not print on Avery Business Cards, tears sheets apart inside printer Started printing my first clean edge business cards today and the printer will not print them properly and even damaged the printer ink jet heads. Now it will not even print on plain paper. It seems to grips the Avery template too tightly and rips the cards apart before it get a chance to print, jamming the paper path. It does what it claims and for less It can print ledger 11x17 but it can’t scan or copy that size. I like any printer that functions fully without a bunch of junk cr@pware.
Do NOT purchase anything Brother. All printers are aboninable pieces of crap, this one however is the grand champion of crap. Feed issues, unresolvable connection issues and if, by some miracle you do actually get it to print, it WILL be out of ink. Just replaced the ink four seconds ago and have printed nothing, no worries, you’re out of ink... shouldn’t be an issue though as you can’t connect to it anyway...plus the paper is jammed. I hate this this thing more than I can articulate.
Don't waste your money on this ink-sucking piece of garbage This printer was a dream for the first 3 months. That's all it took for it to stop printing yellow. I have called Brother repeatedly about this issue. Fast forward through a few "power cleans" through Brother's special codes, it would work for a little while and then have the issue again. Not really great The printer did pretty well out of the box, but started having connectivity issues that no one could figure out. Also picture print quality was aweful
Cannot install proper printer driver: will not print envelopes All the documentation shows a fully-featured printer driver. What actually installed for me is a barebones driver with very few features. I followed help steps online and contacted the manufacturer but was unable to resolve my problem. The printer itself understands the idea of envelopes but the driver cannot. For the amount of money this printer costs it should be able to print envelopes.
Be careful if you use the function of changing sizes of images. Not good for that This printer has proven to be a real letdown. I bought it to replace my old Brother printer which looks almost exactly the same and was about the same price. First, I am an artist and with my former printer was able to shrink and expand images to many sizes. This clicks in at about two different sizes and its neither of them are good for my work.
