Excessive Ink Usage I don't print much, maybe a couple pages a month, but the ink levels always drop. At the rate I print I get about 8 pages to a set of ink cartridges.
Only purchase if you negotiate with terrorists. This printer works well only if you print immediately after installing new cartridges. It will sometimes print in black and white only but then what is the point in a color printer? We regularly run into issues with brand new or less than 30 day old cartridges that are visibly full and get a low ink cannot print error. Horrible This printer is the worst. The color is fine but every time I try to print something the printer jams. I'll print a 5 page paper, the printer will jam, I'll unjam it, and then it will jam again! Worst printer I have ever had. Waste of money!
Terrible customer service! I just bought this printer and the scanner doesn't work. I tried to get Brother customer service and there is none! I am now returning this and buying an HP which has great customer service.
Awful product & customer service from Brother. I was never able to get this printer working. Kept getting error codes. I spent over an hour on the phone with Brother tech support. They determined it was defective & they would send a call tag for it to be picked up, & they would send me a new printer in 2-3 business days. I contacted Brother on the 4th day to let them know I did not receive the printer or the call tag. They emailed me that would hear back from someone in 2-3 business days. Unreliable Is there a printer available in the US that does not randomly place itself offline whenever it feels like it and doesn't have to be uninstalled and resinstalled virtually every day to work properly? If so, HP and Brother don't seem to make one. Teleworking from home with an unreliable printer sux. Manuals refer to various models, rather than the specific model you purchased. That's confusing. After I set the printer up, I was instructed to run some print quality tests. I only ran what was instructed and after I was done one of the ink packets was empty and another was almost empty. My printer would not run without the ink, so I was left with a new printer, that I had not used to print anything I wanted, that would not print until I acquired new ink packets - which of course took days.
